I commonly use a therapeutic approach (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) that helps identify how you think (about self, the world, the future), feel, act and how that may be affecting your current functioning, relationships, and moods.
Hello. My name is Ruby Estrada. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I approach therapy at your pace, which I can follow or match with rather quickly. My focus is centered on you and building whatever strengths you put forth whether you are aware of them or not. I help someone find a way to get through a problem or conflict, this is my approach. I am straightforward when you need me to be and gentle when the situation calls for empathy, or a balance of both. For 21 years, I have treated depression, anxiety, PTSD, LGBTQ+-related issues, ADHD, and adults finding themselves on the Autism Spectrum.

I utilize psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT & DBT), somatic therapy, IFS, EMDR, and mindfulness.
I work with people who struggle with excessive worrying, overthinking, and restlessness, trauma, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, as well as those who generally just want to improve their lives. I work with many college age individuals, 20 somethings, and 30 somethings, who are exploring issues around identity, relationships, and "early life crisis." I work best with clients who are wanting to grow and are willing to look inward to develop a deeper, more profound sense of self.

At Feeling Good Whole Health, I train other therapists and serve my patients utilizing an advanced form of CBT or cognitive behavioral therapy, taking into account an individual's whole health: mind, brain, body and soul.
I'd like to help you feel better, and what I can do involves more than listening and giving advice. Psychotherapy isn't entered into lightly, and it's important to consider whether change is what you want. It isn't for everybody, and sometimes, change depends on the season of your life. However, if you are experiencing a need to change something that has become a problem, such as sadness, anxiety, or relationship distress, or a habit such as procrastination or an addictive behavior, you might be ready to explore psychotherapy to find a solution.

I have acquired years of hands on experience in assessing children for delays, Autism, ADHD as well as for challenges in learning, social skills, mood, behavior, and trauma.
Is your child having difficulty at school, with learning or being social? Is your child being called hyperactive, withdrawn, or distracted? Is your child seem angry, sad, worried, or nervous? Do you wonder if your child might benefit from special education services? Or if they need therapy? Do you wonder if your child is functioning at a level that is comparable to children within their peer group? Having a Psychological Assessment or Psycho-Ed Evaluation can help you learn how to help your child develop and grow in a safe manner and give your family answers to the above.

I apply different modalities as they are called for, primarily employing tools from relational, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
Your problems can do more than simply cause suffering. If you can understand them better, you can make use of them. Good therapy offers a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can transform personal difficulty from something to survive into something truly beneficial. Toward this end, I find direct feedback, humor, empathy, and true collaboration to be indispensable tools.
