Loss, grief, loneliness, betrayal, despair, these experiences punctuate and define our lives.Yet all the while we’re longing for wholeness, connectedness, and authenticity in ourselves and relationships. Usually our coping strategies, often developed in our childhood, eventually stop working for us and the pain ensues. We can’t seem to find relief from the problems and find ourselves falling further into cycles of numbing or masking our pain. But I’m here to say there is hope, real change is possible! Hello! I am Dr. Efrain Zepeda. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Social Worker. In the past 23 years working as a mental health professional, one of the most important lessons I have learned is that the most powerful therapeutic intervention is the interpersonal experience that occurs in the client-therapist relationship.
