Welcome. First I would like to recognize your strength and courage to seek out mental health support. Life can be challenging to manage. And oftentimes, the toughest part is deciding to reach out for support.

When nothing you try is working and life just isn't getting any better, my horses and I can help. Your session will start with increasing awareness of your body and emotions through a series of mental exercises and physical movements. When we have identified the day's concern, we will move to the barn. You will be introduced to one of our well-trained horses and you will be taught the skills needed to make improvements in your life. This could include anything from standing and talking next to the horse all the way to interacting with the horse in a small arena.

Hi! I want to start by saying how much I admire you for taking this big leap—it's a brave and commendable step toward feeling better. I'm proud of you. Next, I'll give you a quick snapshot of my style, skillset, and what I offer. Empathic by nature, I am passionate about the well-being and success of my clients and will work alongside you to achieve your mental health goals. I work with individuals of all ages, but I tend to see many children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

Perhaps you reached the top of the mountain only to ask, now what? An adamant voice says there is no life worth leading unless you are exceptional. Or you manage things on the surface seamlessly only to feel overwhelmed behind closed doors. It would make so much sense. Our environment has demanded more in recent times—be more, do more, have more—all at once. It is not by chance we exist in the age of superheroes and social media. There are bigger shoes for us and our children to grow into yet not enough room to play or tend to the inner person. Perhaps we learned ways to survive that no longer serve us.

Specializing in a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. How can we talk about what matters, if talking is too painful? Mindfulness-based movement and expression therapy can help first regulate and calm the nervous system before diving into the analytical work. This makes the process not only more comfortable for you but also more effective. I understand the importance of listening to your own experience first, you already know the answers, I’m just here to guide you to them.

If you, like most individuals, are struggling with life adjustments, anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues, you can explore solutions in therapy. I have worked with many families, in reunification cases, individuals, with severely mentally ill adults and couples- this is a space to discuss any issues freely. Therapy is a place where we can begin to do the work in a safe space.

Hello! My name is Amanda Stransky and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. Our mental health declines when we feel we no longer have a choice in our lives, and we can work together to change that. I have experience working with military and law enforcement as well as young adults working through career and other life transitions while redefining who they are and who they want to become. I work with military folks, both active duty and retired, that are looking to manage workplace stress, career transitions, and relationship issues.
