I provide psychological treatment and services to address the difficulties associated with a variety of challenges and transitions. My approach to treatment is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual client and I aim to create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable discussing and exploring their life. I view therapy as a collaboration and partnership between the client and myself. I provide support and guidance to help you identify areas of your life that need improvement or change and help you to set goals and create an action plan that will allow you to grow, shift, and live the life you want for yourself.

My practice is primarily devoted to working with young women and trauma victims. However, I see others also. Therapy can help us express our feelings, learn new skills, and help us find effective solutions to issues we face. In a confidential environment, I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, nurturing and supportive. My work with young women is focused on supporting them on their journey through adolescents into womanhood, which is a road well-traveled, but not always gracefully. I am well trained in helping young women experiencing difficulties in their school, family and/or social lives.

With a direct and gentle approach and a bit of humor, we can address your concerns and worries. For some, this may mean addressing current stressors. For others, exploring earlier relationships will lead to understanding how patterns have developed.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who enjoys working with adolescents and adults. I have experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, college counseling centers, elementary schools, private practice, drug treatment centers, Indian reservations, and in rural locations. I enjoy providing individual therapy services as well as psychological evaluations. I am licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology, California Board of Psychology, and the Florida Board of Psychology. I am a full member of the Minnesota Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.

My ideal client is anyone who wants to make healthy changes in their life. The thing I love most about being a therapist is helping people change things in their lives that keep them from being the happiest, healthiest version of themselves that they can be. If they are willing to begin to take steps, I am thrilled to walk along side them and not give up until they reach their goals. I am happy to work with individual who have complex mental illness or who are simply working through change and transitions. I am comfortable working from a faith-based or a secular approach. I just want to help my clients function better.
