I am trained in EMDR and can incorporate this into your treatment plan.
British in origin, my passion is people, it always has been. I recognize entering into therapy can make us feel vulnerable, but within that vulnerability emerges great strength to pursue that need for change within us. My work is predominantly trauma-focused and emphasizes on gaining personal insight into how certain life events can affect our behavioral, emotional and physical well-being.

I truly believe we all have the resources within us to grow and heal. However, there are times we become "stuck" in life and overcome with fear or other factors. I am passionate in working with children and adults in helping them recognize deeper/underlying issues or past traumatic experiences that can impair a person's function each day in various ways. I specialize in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex trauma (Ie physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, DV, life adjustments, grief/loss). I am trained in EMDR, a research-based treatment that facilitates the brain's own capacity to heal.

Utilizing parts work and EMDR to help you discover the answers and direction that are true for you (not what others tell you), ultimately empowering you to trust your own strengths, intuition, and resilience.
IFS, EMDR for anxiety and depression. You’re tired of feeling ruled by this anxiety or uncertainty. From the outside, your life looks good—you have a lot to be proud of. But something still isn’t right: you might feel anxious, have trouble making decisions, or disconnected in your relationships. You’re constantly criticizing yourself, second-guessing that text you sent or what others are thinking of you. It’s like life is happening to you, instead of you being the one in control. And although you’ve tried to address this on your own through things like journaling or mindfulness practices, you still just don’t feel like yourself.

With EMDR I can help you integrate traumatic experiences with other life events.
Do you have traumatic memories that are unresolved? Do you need a safe person to talk to and help guide you through? If you're having difficulty engaging in new experiences, maintaining relationships, and calming your brain and body you may benefit from EMDR therapy. Our brain and body respond with specific behaviors and beliefs to help us survive traumatic experiences. However, when the traumatic events have passed, but our survival responses continue in healthy environments and relationships they can create dysfunction.

If you feel you have plateaued with the benefits of approaches like CBT, it may be time to consider exploring EMDR and IFS to help you go deeper.
In my practice I focus on treating trauma with EMDR informed by Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). Many mental health symptoms such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addictions, and disordered eating can be connected to past traumas and conflicts between inner parts of ourselves. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal from these traumas, resolve inner conflicts, and to experience a more fulfilling life.

I provide trauma informed therapy, with training in EMDR and eating disorders.
I am passionate about helping people who feel overwhelmed by their lives. We live at such a fast pace that we often do not have the space required to slow down to feel our emotions. When we are unable to connect with ourselves, symptoms like anxiety and depression increase. We need help connecting to our bodies, and regulating our nervous systems to slow down enough to move out of fight or flight and into the present moment. Doing so will make it possible to heal from our challenges like anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and chronic illness.

Once you feel safe and secure, we can discuss options for care, including supportive counseling, EMDR (deeper trauma work with the nervous system), or more skill based therapies aimed at coping with symptoms.
Hi there, welcome! My specialty areas include trauma, relationships and body image issues. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, my passions include working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and neurodivergent clients (ADHD, autism, PDA traits). As a neurodiversity affirming provider, I see all neurotypes as equal, and not an issue that needs "treatment". Rather, it is a process of finding your way back to yourself and who you really are. Additionally, I work with the ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, and kink/BDSM community. I work with individuals, teens, and couples and enjoy working with all relationship structures.

Welcome! I am passionate about my work and take great pride in the therapeutic relationships I have built overtime with my clients, which is why I believe in tailoring counseling to each individuals unique needs. Therapy is most effective when a trusting relationship exists between a counselor & the client. Some relationships hurt us while others are meant to heal. I believe that my job isn't to tell you what to do or how you live your life but to provide a safe, trusting environment where you express yourself & have an experience of being listened to without judgment & together we come up with creative solutions.
