I also value a holistic approach that connects mind and body specifically through the use of expressive arts, sand tray and play therapy.
Are you worried about your child? Are they struggling with social-emotional or behavioral difficulties? Reaching out for help is the first step. I have experience working with children ages 5-11 in both therapeutic and academic settings. I have a relaxed, easygoing demeanor and quickly build rapport with children, as trust is the first step toward building a strong therapeutic relationship. Ultimately, I believe the relationship is what heals and the child intrinsically knows how to and has the capacity to heal.

Hi! I'm Logan & I believe in the art and science of soulful healing. Through seven years of experience as a therapist, I know that emotions can feel scary and even unsafe at times. This is why I use expressive arts. Not only can the expressive arts give us additional languages to externalize what we otherwise might not have words for, it creates an embodied experience where life can be different. This no art skill/high sensitivity approach goes beyond cognition and addresses the felt sense of empowerment. With the right container, detangling from the stickiness of trauma and anxiety is possible. Are you ready to start living again?

I’ve spent many years working in children’s mental health, with a strong focus on attachment work, parenting support, and improving emotional regulation. I have a deep understanding of the pain points that children and families often face, particularly when dealing with trauma, attachment issues, and adverse life experiences. I recognize that children communicate in a variety of different ways and meet their needs through an array of therapeutic modalities, such as play therapy, expressive arts therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and internal family systems therapy.

While therapy can be challenging, my hope is to also bring in moments of joy and playfulness within our sessions, drawing from play therapy and expressive arts modalities.
Life gets messy and painful sometimes. We can get stuck—feeling overwhelmed with trauma, depression, anxiety, undesirable circumstances, and disconnection. Having someone to share these experiences with can help us to get out of our heads and begin living deep within our hearts. I aim to create a space to help you find meaning out of the heaviness and feel empowered by the strengths you already have. You are truly the expert of your story, and I hope to walk with you in your journey towards self-acceptance and self-compassion.

Through using person-centered therapy (PCT) and the expressive arts continuum framework, we’ll work through hard things together using trust, compassion, empathy, and building a safe space.
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. As a therapist, I believe in the power of the statement "we can do hard things". You might be experiencing something that is making daily life exhausting, heavy, challenging, or more complicated than life can already be, so I'm grateful you've landed on my page. Something really special that I bring into the therapy space is artmaking and creative expression; as research shows, art is a powerful healing tool, so I use this creativity to help you navigate interpersonal dynamics, life changes, grief & loss, identity exploration, hard emotions, or to just be present with yourself in a world of noise.

Yes, conflict is supposed to happen because it helps us grow and heal. 2. All those great feelings you had at the beginning were because of hormones, and they don't last. 3. You are in this relationship because you hold the key to each other's healing. I can help create a safe environment.

I am trained in EMDR, Sandplay, Brainspotting, Gestalt, Narrarive, and Expressive Arts.
I believe that healing happens when we pay attention to all the parts that make us whole—our mind, body, and soul. My theoretical orientation is influenced by Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Emotionally-Focused, Humanistic-Experiential, and Narrative approaches to treatment. This means that we will be going on an emotional journey together in which I will use an eclectic combination of clinical theories and techniques to help guide my work. I believe that the lack of emotional awareness and avoiding uncomfortable emotions can cause harm to our mind, body, and soul. My hope is to help you get to know yourself better.

Expressive Arts Therapists

What happens in expressive arts therapy?

In an expressive arts therapy session, the therapist will provide the space and materials necessary to encourage the client to express themselves creatively. These can include art supplies, musical instruments, a journal, a camera, and more. The therapist offers careful guidance throughout the creative process, often noticing and talking about psychological issues as they arise. Many clients also benefit from the mind-body connection—the physical act of making art can help them feel more grounded and present.

How long does expressive arts therapy take?

An expressive arts therapy session will typically last between 50 minutes and an hour. Group sessions may run longer. Sometimes, a client might only need one or two sessions of expressive arts therapy in conjunction with talk therapy to resolve a psychological issue. Others might find a fixed number of sessions over the course of either weeks or months to be beneficial. The duration depends on the client and their individual needs and goals for therapy.

How does expressive arts therapy help children?

Creativity is an important part of normal child development. Expressive arts therapy proves a safe outlet for child clients to learn to identify their emotions and express them in healthy ways. In expressive arts therapy, children can build their self-esteem, discover more about their personality and strengths, and feel a sense of normalcy in an otherwise chaotic world. This therapeutic approach can be particularly helpful for children with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, speech impairments, and other conditions.

What are the limitations of expressive arts therapy?

Sometimes individuals have physical limitations that can affect their ability to express themselves artistically in certain mediums. For example, someone with hearing problems might find it difficult to make music. Sickness and mobility issues can make some types of art physically inaccessible (e.g., sculpting, dancing, etc.). Sometimes, clients are overly skeptical and have trouble letting go and engaging with the creative process. Individuals who require a higher level of care may be better served with other types of therapy.
