*Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR).
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in Rancho Bernardo. I am currently working through telehealth only, and I generally work with clients shorter term (3-6 months). I primarily work in the morning and early afternoon. I have been trained in the following approaches: *Cognitive Therapy, which helps people improve their mood and functioning by increasing awareness of the thoughts they have associated with different kinds of distress. *Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT helps individuals stop avoiding and struggling with unwanted thoughts, feelings, and memories, and improve ability to pursue valued goals.

Drawing on diverse therapeutic techniques, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Family Systems, I address mental health issues from trauma and PTSD to substance use and family conflict.
In my practice, I support individuals embracing life’s experiences, from overcoming challenges like anxiety and depression to enhancing family and relationship dynamics. Ideal clients seek both relief and deeper understanding from their experiences. From children blossoming in school to adults navigating significant life changes, each brings unique goals—strengthening relationships, mastering emotional regulation, or rekindling purpose. Together, we transform challenges into opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

My specialties are in EMDR, IFS, Eastern Psychology, Mindfulness, and more commonly recognized modalities such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
I believe in emphasizing one’s own unique spiritual journey as the primary source of knowing; that there is nothing needed to “fix,” but rather an opportunity to explore with newfound curiosity and connection. Collaborating with our natural environment and translating what is discussed during our time in into lived experiences is incredibly powerful and useful for sustained growth and learning.

As a former Board of Directors of CAMFT, a Brainspotting Practitioner, Certified EMDR Therapist & Approved Consultant for other Psychotherapist, I strive to normalize and help athletes achieve mental well-being in their sport.
I provide evidence brain-based EMDR & Brainspotting to support the mental health & treatment of sports performance problems caused by significant negative experiences or injury. Those experiences can lead to performance problems commonly known as a slump, a block, and yips, which then can lead to Lost Move Syndrome (LMS). By reprocessing how the brain digested the significant negative memory, we can reset the brain and nervous system to return the Athlete to peak performance. Peak Performance also helps to “install” positive programming for future tasks, challenges, and high stakes events.

I specialize in using evidence based practices (cognitive/behavioral), EMDR therapy, and Neurofeedback to treat depression, anxiety disorders (including PTSD), insomnia, stress, headaches/migraines, and ADHD.
Medication not working? Feeling stressed, afraid, and out of balance can rob you of your vitality and can prevent you from reaching your full potential in life. Many situations in our lives can lead us to feel this way whether it be the result of a traumatic event, a significant loss in life, and/or our habits, behaviors, attitudes, and emotions. Experiencing these stressors can be overwhelming at times, especially if trying to manage them alone. If you find yourself at this particular place in your life, I would welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you while we work together to find healing.

Using specialized training in EFT and EMDR, whether you're looking to improve your relationships, overcome trauma, or gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to support you on your journey.
Do your relationships feel harder than you imagined they would? Maybe you’re stuck in the same fights, overwhelmed by anxiety, or wondering if you’re the one messing things up. Do past experiences, from childhood or past relationships, make it harder to open up, manage your emotions, or handle conflict in a way that helps your relationships thrive? These struggles can leave you feeling frustrated, alone, or unsure of how to move forward, but therapy can help you make sense of it all, break free from old patterns, and build the meaningful connections you deserve.

The "bottom-up" approach includes EMDR, which helps to resolve traumas and other deeper emotional challenges that block us.
Welcome! I know it isn't easy to find a therapist, so I'll get to the point: I strive to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and validating environment to explore challenges, get stuff off your chest, get to the root of the challenges, and cultivate willingness toward making meaningful changes in your life. Everything else that happens in therapy (tools, methods, modalities) starts from here, and my number one priority is creating a positive, safe relationship that supports your desire to change.

I am trained in attachment based Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, EF Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems, & EMDR.
It takes courage to seek therapy, yet it’s one of the most helpful forms of self-care when life becomes overwhelming. My goal is to normalize the process and create safety & support for self-exploration and relational attunement. I work with couples, families and relationships. Therapy is like turning on lights and finding guard rails when everything feels dark and uncertain. It can provide a map and offer loving presence &compassion in difficult moments. It empowers YOU to step fully into an empowered life with humility, courage, & connection with the parts of yourself and with others.

I also specialize in trauma work with EMDR and Advanced Integrative Therapy.
Our current Covid-19 climate of living, can be highly stressful and anxiety provoking for many people. Are you feeling anxious? Down? Stuck? Frustrated? Not sure what it is but cannot put your finger on it? Perhaps you have experienced a crisis and feel like you are spinning out of control. Or maybe life somehow now feels unmanageable. These feelings can cause an increase in limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, which can also affect your personal and professional relationships. This is not at all unusual, and IS very recoverable. It is my pleasure to help you make sense of it, regain your footing, and help you get back on track.

I provide EMDR therapy as well as several other therapeutic modalities to have each of my clients reach a level of success and satisfaction.
I have worked in several areas of mental health care and have truly found my purpose and passion in assisting those who struggle with trauma and/or addiction. I understand how trauma has been locked within the psyche and having an individual feel as though they are stuck within themselves. I understand that addiction was a solution to several problems at the time because it allowed relief but in reality it only masked the underlying issues. My goal for each of my clients is to have them recognize their own strengths and abilities so they may continue or begin to live meaningful lives.
