Those who are closest to you can't see your pain because you have hidden how you truly feel by wearing a mask. Wearing a mask allows you to get through the day but fall apart when alone. In therapy you take off the mask, breathe and reveal your true feelings, gain insight into how to decrease your pain and live a more balanced healthier life. Getting help is not a sign of weakness, but strength. It takes a great deal of strength and courage to take this step towards feeling better.
