I help individuals, couples, and/or families grow toward healing and health through integrative therapy. Throughout the lifespan many things can happen to interfere with our relational health- addiction, body image, trauma, depression, just to name a few- and I have experience guiding my clients through them all. Together we will work towards you, your relationships, or your family system becoming its most empowered and functional.

I am here to help. It is my role and honor to provide a safe therapeutic environment that is comfortable. It can be hard to address personal issues, mental health complications, phase of life problems, identity troubles, and relationship issues. Just remember, you are not alone, almost everyone has gone through difficult times in their lives. It's how they're handled that makes the difference. My approach is client centered. Each person is different. It requires their unique experience to guide the therapeutic process. It is within your potential to have a more rewarding and fulfilling quality of life.

In addition to my general practice, I focus on working with active-duty military personnel and neurodiverse individuals and couples.
Navigating life's challenges can be overwhelming, especially when they stem from deep-rooted experiences like childhood trauma or complex PTSD, dealing with anxiety or anxiety-related disorders, depression, or relationship and communication issues. But you're not alone on this journey. As a therapist, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can freely express, process, and explore their emotions. Whether you're a young professional dealing with career stress, part of a neurodiverse couple, or facing personal struggles, my goal is to support you every step of the way.

Let us build a trusted, respectful, reliable, and healthy therapeutic relationship to help you overcome your emotional battles together! You are not alone anymore.
Life is difficult, challenging, and even frustrating at times. Days can feel like weeks or pass so quickly that we may forget what we have had for breakfast. We forget to take time for ourselves; we can start to lose sight of our dreams, hopes, and futures. We stop smiling and begin lacking any fun in our lives and wonder what our purpose is. We become self-critical, depressed, anxious, and even hopeless, and our lives can change to where we feel better, vibrant, and energized for a new day.

For over 13 years, I have helped clients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders/body image, trauma, shame, grief/loss, relationship issues, parenting, and school-based concerns.
The demands of life can sometimes be difficult to navigate on our own. A therapeutic environment can be a safe and supportive place to address these demands. As a psychotherapist, I work from a compassionate and practical perspective. I enjoy helping others gain insight, find their inner strength, develop healthy communication skills and learn to cope. Most people who are looking for a therapist are searching for an ally and someone who can help them get relief as soon as possible. I use a highly empathic, relationship-based approach that is focused on symptom relief.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
