My name is Michelle Lee and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (145797). I have been working with children, teens, adults, and families since 2015 and I am passionate about mental health. I support individuals to understand that they are not their symptoms and focus on empowering them to meet the unmet needs behind these symptoms and realize strengths, on their journey to creating more life satisfaction. My therapeutic approach is centered around the belief that each individual is unique and therefore has a unique set of underlying needs and values that deserve to be nurtured.

Healing is a series of stories with many sequels and a complex process. It is often vulnerable, ambiguous, intimate, and timeless. It is embodied, loud, silent, stagnant, unconscious and conscious. It’s an invitation to intentionality and slowing down your nervous system. But most importantly it requires your readiness. Healing naturally occurs when you respond to your pain, punishment, criticism, shame, or trauma and begin to reconstruct your new narrative. Many people who seek out therapy with me are children & teens. Individuals who struggle with anxiety, feel disconnected from themselves/others and have negative thoughts.

My training in working with various age groups ranging from 12 years to 90 years young has taught me that it is never too late to seek help. The theme that I have witnessed from my clients is that they want to experience joy, acceptance, and tranquility. I look forward to hearing from you and joining you on your journey toward the change you want to achieve.

I believe that the power of vulnerability is one of our greatest strengths and ultimately can provide us with a deeper sense of self, security, comfort, and more compassionate towards one another. Coming from a strength-based form of doing therapy and providing support to others, I work to provide my clients with a sense of validation and comfort. As a cis male that identifies as Latinx and as a proud member of the LGBTQIA community, I am able to hold the experience of living in many diverse, cross-cultural emotional experiences that we sometimes may not even know how to begin to understand.

You deserve to live a life that leaves you excited to wake up in the morning and understand your own story. I believe you really can have a life of abundance, peace, life, and joy. Life is too short to surrender to sadness, hold grudges, be anxious, and/or be angry all the time. No matter where you are, my role is to listen, validate, and highlight your strengths to help increase self-efficacy. Let me help you want to be free of emotional pain and able to deal and find meaning and purpose to life.
