The decision to start therapy with a licensed professional is like setting out on an expedition to both rediscover old territories and to discover new territories. One set of questions therapy asks is “What is it like to be me now?” “How do my past experiences affect who I am now?” “What is getting in my way, preventing me from being the person I feel I can be?” What we talk about during each meeting are those issues that are important to you in your everyday life, relationships, job, parents, children, things that make you feel happy, sad, depressed, or confused.

I draw from an eclectic mix of theories (Attachment, Trauma, Critical Race, Queer, Humanistic and Transpersonal) to meet your individual needs and style.
As a fat, queer, neurodivergent disruptor of societal norms and systems, I hold a strength-based attachment focused framework that values and celebrates all genders, sexualities, bodies, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, family structures, religions, and socio-economic locations. I see these intersectionalities as a beautiful tapestry of personal empowerments which can become the foundation from which we work collectively to identify, address and dismantle systems of oppression. I believe humans shouldn’t be pathologized in a society designed to keep people sick and stuck.

I offer an empathic connection, a transpersonal approach, and EMDR to help reduce the long term effects of relational wounding, trauma and loss.
If sadness, worry, stress, disturbing memories, and daily challenges are making life difficult and you are missing the joy ... It might be time to speak with someone to reduce the pain and renew your hope.

I use mindfulness and transpersonal approaches to help you find strength, authenticity, connection, and freedom.
You may be noticing that you don't feel like yourself and wondering if there's something wrong with you. Your relationship has changed, it's hard to get any work done or focus. You dread getting out of bed, which leaves you feeling guilty and stuck. Or maybe you just worry about everything. You want to connect more deeply with your friends, or to experience the love in your relationship that you used to feel. You want more excitement and meaning. And on top of it all, you feel that no one understands what you go through or you have no one to talk to about it: you feel alone.

My work is informed by transpersonal and psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems.
I approach psychotherapy from a whole-person perspective and I believe therapy, along with other practices, can help us awaken to a life of meaning. In therapy I will help you identify the source of your longing to be whole, and together, we will move closer to that source, so you become re-sourced. Together we will explore your innate natural cycles and help you align to your own rhythm, so that you might meet depletion with rest and energy with creativity.

My approach is Depth-oriented, transpersonal, relational, existential-humanistic.
I work with clients who are (highly) sensitive, empathic, or intuitive. Sensitive people have a finely attuned nervous system that is a huge gift when made conscious. They experience life deeply, yet don't always feel easily understood by others. Growing up, they often experienced not fitting in, and have adapted to a largely non-sensitive world in myriad ways that didn't always serve their best interest. I support sensitive people on their path to finding their voice, experiencing genuine relationships, purposeful work, and reclaiming their space in the world.

My approach is influenced by Jungian, Depth, and Transpersonal psychology, feminist, queer and social justice-allied, and strength-based.
My work is grounded in the belief & experience that we all have access to a deep well of unconscious wisdom, and that creative & imaginal processes are some of the most direct ways to contact it. To assist you in doing so, I use expressive arts, dreamwork, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), guided imagery & visualization, and other creative & imaginal approaches to enhance and deepen traditional talk therapy. As a client-centered therapist, I believe that you are the expert on your own healing. My job is to listen deeply and to put you in closer touch with your inner knowing so that you can arrive at your own answers.

How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
