Sometimes one may need someone who is available only for you. As a therapist I provide a safe place where you can be vulnerable about painful behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. Perhaps you are feeling sad, angry, anxious, confused, or emotionally paralyzed. You may be unable to control negative thoughts, unhealthy behaviors, a pattern of engaging in unhealthy relationships, or may be repeating destructive patterns. Perhaps you get distressed from memories related to traumatic events.

I offer a supportive and calm environment. I try to infuse a blend of optimism and realism to empower and motivate clients to make the most of their lives. My therapeutic orientation is eclectic and includes Humanistic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), action-oriented, life coaching, EMDR and Biofeedback.

I have 40+ years of teaching and clinical experience and have treated a variety of issues, but specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship, and sexual issues. I also have extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and behavioral addictions such as obsessive spending and porn addiction. In addition, I also treat religious guilt and help others deal with issues related to spirituality and grief. I tailor the treatment to each person for the greatest personal effectiveness. I do so with many years of clinical experience and a professional and compassionate approach. I am licensed in both CA and MI.
