Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Donna Angel and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I specialize in self love, self compassion, depression, anxiety, body image issues, eating disorders, mindfulness, grief, and alcohol and addiction. It is my passion and joy to work with individuals and families seeking to improve their emotional well-being and live a fulfilling life.

I have 40+ years of teaching and clinical experience and have treated a variety of issues, but specialize in depression, anxiety, relationship, and sexual issues. I also have extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and behavioral addictions such as obsessive spending and porn addiction. In addition, I also treat religious guilt and help others deal with issues related to spirituality and grief. I tailor the treatment to each person for the greatest personal effectiveness. I do so with many years of clinical experience and a professional and compassionate approach. I am licensed in both CA and MI.

I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I believe the main goal of therapy is healing, change, and growth; not criticism and condemnation. Therapy is most effective in an accepting, confidential atmosphere where there is mutual exploration of the issues and challenges of life in our complex world. Perhaps we need a new perspective in our way of thinking and our way of behaving in order to more effectively make our way through life's obstacles. Effective therapy is both educational and introspective. I offers faith/Christian based counseling upon request.
