I support those I work with through brainspotting, EMDR, sociometric and psychodramatic techniques, harm reduction and other substance use recovery methods, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy; regardless of the method, what matters is who is in front of me.
I work with individuals and families who are experiencing challenges related to substance use, mood changes, relational/attachment difficulties, and general life transitions. I support and celebrate all identities, relationship orientations, and bodies! My work is grounded in Liberation psychology and I believe in meeting individuals where they are at, and that building safety and support is a community effort that sometimes starts within the therapeutic relationship and grows outward. You can book with me via my website

I am trained in EMDR therapy, which uses the nervous system's natural ability to heal itself.
In life we can sometimes feel stuck in old patterns. Or maybe our sleep, eating, or job performance has changed. Mood, physical health, and mental health are all connected. Brain fog, tiredness, loss of interest (or sleepless nights, jittery days, etc) can mean the balance is off. These are times when therapy can help you understand the issues from a new point of view. Primarily, I see my job as one of listener and guide. Together, we can figure out what's keeping you from being a joyful resilient person. It takes courage and strength to ask for help. I am here if you are curious or ready to begin.

I provide compassionate support for children, teens, young adults, individuals, and parents. Growing up can be so hard. So can being a grown-up! Especially as the world feels topsy-turvy. Sometimes we are quick to pathologize ourselves and our children. Learning to respond intentionally rather than react out of fear can be a game changer. In my practice I provide a strengths-based holistic approach to therapy, integrating approaches from Trauma focused CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy.

I have a long history of treating a variety of mental health issues through Jungian, Somatic, and Attachment lenses using Internal Family Systems, CBT, EMDR and Dream Analysis.
Are you neurodivergent? Experience anxiety and depression? Have a history of trauma? Or possibly have a chronic illness (eg., long COVID, etc.)? It's possible to feel safe in your body, to hear your soul's deepest truths, and to engage with the world fully embodied. When change is desired, the psychotherapy process transforms overwhelming fears, frustrations, and responsibilities into guides that keep us enlivened by our authentic path. I am here to journey with you; to help you create a place for your most sacred aspects of self so that you can feel safely connected to yourself, to others, and to the world.

Compassionate Patient Listening, Counseling Insight, Somatic Experience, EMDR, NLP, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Communication Skills, Stress Reduction.
How do you speak to yourself? This makes us feel the way we do. (We treat others the way we treat ourself.) Learn how to use and align your words, thoughts even, with your own positive intentions. Get rid of whatever is in the way. The brain can't tell the difference between an imagined experience and a real one. You don't have to reinvent the wheel to feel difficult feelings to completion. Mistakes are opportunities for getting what you want. With gentle patience and respect, I can show you how to allow feelings to be fully felt. Change beliefs and align with what you really want. It's a lot simpler than it sounds.

I follow a strength based model of practice that incorporates a combination of insight oriented, EMDR, cognitive behavioral, somatic and mindfulness based interventions.
I have been in the field for over twenty years working with children, adolescents and adults with issues related to trauma, loss, family conflict and life changes. All of these can create stress, which left untreated, can develop into debilitating symptoms of depression and or anxiety. My work is focused on giving you the tools to manage your symptoms, while identifying defeating patterns of thought and behavior and helping you develop healthy thinking and behavior to promote healing, growth and wholeness.

EMDR is a powerful tool I use to heal past trauma large or small.
Did growing up in a wounding family cause trauma that is still affecting you? Did you experience trauma at the hands of another that left you with feelings of being unsafe, insecure and unlovable? Guilt and shame? Imagine waking up peaceful and optimistic about your Life and future. Imagine having relationships that are loving and full of grace and building a family that is one that you would have loved to grow up in. If you can see it you can be it…lets work through old trauma so that you can see and be the “you” that you have always wanted to be! Helping people work through trauma is what I love to do!

I use EMDR to help process trauma and recalibrate the nervous system.
It takes a village...Navigating through the transitions and challenges in our lives is meant to be a collaboration with family, friends, elders, wise women and men. However, in the times of instant change and mobility, some may find themselves lost and alone, far from those they confide in and look up to. Sometimes they isolate for fear of vulnerability and the pressure to appear "to have it together". When this self-judgement and drive to be “perfect” eventally takes its toll, one can be left feeling bereft of deep connection to self and others. Finding a therapist you can trust and confide in, can help you find your way.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
