I have extensive experience working with those managing depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma, along with relationship and attachment issues, intimacy related issues, coping with life changes, mood instability, negative self-talk and self-esteem, personal growth, and addressing irrational beliefs.
We all have our own stories that are filled with our experiences, strengths, and challenges, and we move at our own pace and time. We have many layers that, while exciting to uncover, can also trigger fear and worry. Self-discovery can be an empowering journey, one of understanding and acceptance, self-love, and fulfillment. You are the expert of your own life, and I am here to offer support, care, guidance, and courage along the way. I believe in collaboration, and will work with you to address the issues presented in therapy and develop treatment goals. Together we will make the space to create the life you want.

My signature approach blends soulful explorations with practical strategies for managing stress and a decolonizing framework.
Anxiety? Check. Perfectionism? Double check. You’ve gotten a long way thanks to your hard-driving mind, but lately living inside your brain has been a struggle. Your inner critic constantly picks apart every interaction. Painful memories keep resurfacing, despite your efforts to push them away. Daily invalidations of your queer, Latina, or immigrant identity sting, and loneliness creeps in as you keep your struggles to yourself. You’ve tried everything: drinking, doom scrolling, and self-help books, but nothing has worked. You're left feeling weighed down and hopeless.

Children and teens are more aware of their own internal states and the world around them than ever before, while the family unit takes on more stress. This combination can create anxiety, depression, acting out behaviors, confusion, and educational struggles for many. Through a strength-based perspective I focus on communication, relationships, boundaries, and self-care. I work with youth (and families) to explore their patterns of interactions with others and encourage self-awareness and growth in these areas. Developing a relationship with a child or teen takes time and care, both of which I have done for nearly twenty years.

Hello. What is keeping you from thriving and being the best version of yourself? For many, it might be trauma, people-pleasing, inner criticism, shame, addiction, substance use, lacking boundaries, worrying what others think about you, challenges in relationships, low self-esteem, worry of failure, stress, overwhelm, feeling powerless and alone. It can be hard to ask for help. But in doing so, you might heal and even thrive. I offer individual, family, & couples therapy via video and in-person outdoors (for now). I recommend having consultations with multiple therapists to find the best fit. Contact me for a 20 minute consultation.

Life in the Bay Area is challenging and the additional stress associated with being LGBTQ+, a woman, pregnant, a parent or all of the above can push it over the edge. Sometimes, especially if you didn’t feel protected or cared for as a child or if something bad has happened to you, life can feel like you’re in over your head. Relationships feel out of control and painful, sleeping is hard and you can’t seem to take care of yourself the way you know you should. Emotions can feel like a roller coaster and daily responsibilities like work or kids are overwhelming. It is possible to feel better and good therapy can help.

Is anxiety, depression, or trauma holding you back from being your true self? Do you feel stuck in managing difficult life transitions? Now, every little thing becomes super overwhelming. Those negative experiences reopen old wounds and cause new ones. You tried burying your pain hoping it would go away. You feel lonely and tormented. You feel exhausted, stressed, and angry all the time. You wonder how much more you can take. You are unsure of who or where to turn for help. In the midst of this painful journey, you do not have to go through it alone.

Many of the people who reach out to me for therapy describe themselves as disheartened and distressed with some major part of their lives. Some feel sadly disconnected in their intimate relationship with a primary partner or spouse. Others feel they can't find a way to communicate and connect with a parent, child or sibling. Other people want relief from feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed by stress. What they all have in common is a genuine desire to feel more deeply connected in their relationships and to live more fully and with greater ease. Does this sound like you?

As our world re-opens, many people are experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress due to recent social isolation and the unpredictability of the future. It can be a highly stressful time for people re-entering the world and for parents and teens. I provide individual adult therapy, teen/young adult therapy, and parent coaching. I am knowledgeable with non-traditional family structures (single parent, multiple caregiver, polyamorous, & LGBT families), transgender adolescent/child issues, anxiety, and neurodiversity . I’ve also begun working with the emotional effects of long Covid and chronic fatigue.
