I care deeply about supporting my clients on their evolving journey towards healing and returning to the truth of who they really are, and I honor their autonomy and unique life experiences as essential to their growth and unfolding. Coming from a first-gen immigrant family, I know that our lives can often be impacted by layers of familial & cultural pressures, trauma, and childhood wounding. I hold compassionate space to explore these aspects of experience through a holistic and trauma-informed lens. As a relational and integrative therapist, I use a variety of approaches including EMDR.

I created Invisible Womb Integrative Wellness Inc.
You are managing a complex set of health challenges such as endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, hysterectomy, perimenopause, and/or cancers of the womb. You're also experiencing depression, anxiety, and grief and have a history of trauma. You are overwhelmed and exhausted, and it is increasingly challenging to fulfill your responsibilities. You've been trying hard not to feel your feelings, but it's not working well for you now. Your womb has been sending signals that you're deeply hurting, and the pain has permeated both your physical and emotional well-being. You’re desperate for therapy that can help heal your entire self.

I work with individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking relief through an integrative, relational, and somatic approach. Drawing on somatic techniques such as EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, I support my clients in connecting to the felt sense of their bodies as a source of information. I believe that a gentle inquiry into the body’s felt sense allows us to safely integrate the past into the present and clarify what’s true for us in any given moment.

I have an integrative theoretical orientation, which means I pull from various modalities.
With warmth, curiosity and practicality, I will partner with you in our sessions to discover what healing and change look like for you. Whether you'd like to learn how to better manage anxiety, move through a big transition with more ease, recover from a traumatic event, need help navigating the loss or death of a loved one, or want more support with adjusting to a new or ongoing disability or medical condition, you don't have to do this alone. Together, we can figure out the stuck places, help you identify your goals, and equip you with the tools to chart your path forward.

I use an integrative treatment approach, which includes offering concrete skills and exploring ineffective thought/behavior patterns, as well as simply creating a nonjudgmental space to sit with and process whatever feelings may arise.
There are so many reasons to enter therapy and I consider myself privileged to have the opportunity to hear your story and earn your trust. I specialize in supporting clients who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-judgment, OCD, and various relationship issues. Additionally, I have expertise in helping those who want to take a non-diet approach to bulimia, binge eating disorders, and compulsive/emotional eating concerns. In general, I work well with clients who feel stuck using coping strategies that no longer feel good and are ready to move in a new direction.

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and psychodynamic, and is influenced by mindfulness, attachment needs, and emotional focusing.
Therapy is an opportunity to come home to yourself and expand your capacity for connection and vitality. My role is to be by your side as you examine parts of yourself that are difficult to face alone. I shine a warm light on experiences, emotions, and beliefs that have yet to be processed, and seek to expand upon sources of strength, expression, connection, and beauty. Whatever the areas of growth you bring to the therapeutic space, my priority is to hold an empathic, non-judgmental, inclusive space in which you feel safe and deeply seen.

I'm an integrative, client-centered therapist, which means I work differently with each client and draw from various modalities, including: somatics & mindfulness, IFS, depth psychology, dance & expressive arts, trauma & liberation frameworks, attachment & interpersonal neurobiology.
I work with adults and youth navigating the oftentimes overwhelming and lonely experience of healing from complex relational trauma. Early trauma, whether from unmet needs or overt abuse, can warp our sense of self and imprison us in frozen fear, shame, or reactivity, impacting every aspect of our lives. Therapy can help us to find more freedom and connection – to all the lost and disowned parts of our psyches; to our amazingly resilient bodies, fiercely compassionate hearts and creative spirits; to other beings, community, and nature; to the present moment; to meaning and purpose; and to a felt sense of safety and possibility.

Integrative Therapists

What is integrative therapy?

Integrative therapy is a type of therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the individual client. By merging elements of different treatments, an integrative therapist aims to offer a more flexible approach than those who practice just one type of therapy.

How does integrative therapy work?

Integrative therapy approaches a client’s mental, physical, and emotional health in a holistic way to discover the sources of their unhealthy behavior patterns or other challenges and considers the approach most likely to lead to improvement. Among the techniques an integrative therapist may practice are cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, art or music therapy, psychodynamic therapy, breathwork, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and trauma-informed therapy. An integrative therapist regularly evaluates the client’s progress and is prepared to pivot to a different approach if progress stalls.

How long does integrative therapy last?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for integrative therapy; people who find they are making progress typically continue until they feel they’ve addressed the issues that spurred them to seek treatment. New patients should understand that it may take some time for a therapist to land on a treatment approach that best meets their needs, but once they do, they should expect sessions to extend for a number of months, typically including at least 12 sessions.

How effective is integrative therapy?

There are hundreds of types of talk therapy, and research shows that while they vary in form, goals, and frequency, many if not all can produce similarly successful outcomes. But a single approach does not always deliver the greatest, or speediest, benefit, and so even therapists primarily trained in one model will use tools, language, techniques, or exercises from others to shape an effective treatment plan.
