These parts must function in a balanced relationship in order for us to thrive. How we feel about ourselves and how we view the world affects the quality of our relationships. When we can balance a positive identity with our role in the world while also remaining connected to others, we feel whole. Brokenness can occur if any of these relationships are out of balance. In therapy, I help my clients assess the lack of balance so they can figure out how to get whole again.
