Hello, I’m Monique. I have over 15 years of experience in mental health and community-based services for at-risk populations. I have provided various forms of advocacy and supportive services for children, adults, families, and geriatric populations in public and private sectors. I am fully committed to reducing mental health disparities and serving the needs of my community through the art of Social Work.

Therapy does not have to take a long time. My offices are in Riverside & Moreno Valley. I assist individuals & couples to successfully get through their difficult (or ongoing) stage) of their lives to acquire a healthier, more effective perspective of their relationships, their situations, & their lives. My professional background for the past 2 decades include working with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma, grief & loss, Family/Parenting concerns, relationship issues, Depression, & Anxiety-Related challenges.

I have been providing therapy for individuals, families and couples, and most recently on a panel for transgender psychological evaluations for over 25 years. I have certifications for anger management and chemical dependency.

I truly believe all people are resilient and we can all grow from the pain and challenges we face. Relationships are central to our well-being, and the therapy process involves building a nonjudgmental, safe and trusting relationship. I am passionate about helping others, driven to help people reach their goals, and empathetic as well as compassionate towards all! My goals as a therapist include helping people to achieve relief from emotional distress, develop optimal ways of coping, and gain insight about the issues they are facing.

I welcome working with people who are struggling with the many challenges that life brings. I find those who are dealing with either acute or chronic stress are particularly responsive to my services. Often it is times of crisis in our lives that motivate us toward meaningful change.

As you journey through life, you may find yourself in difficult times that may cause confusion, anxiety, or depression. You may experience difficulty with your spouse or partner, a child or teen, phase of life changes, or the loss of a loved one. It is during these times that you may need someone to talk to and to walk with you, to listen non-judgmentally, compassionately and with understanding - instilling hope and healing. I believe that each person has a specific path to travel and that, at the end of the day, what we most desire is to leave a meaningful legacy, sweetly remembered by those we love. My heartfelt goal in counseling is to help you find your purpose and significance in life and essentially discover how your path is influenced by your history, family, and community. I realize that these relationships can be difficult and my personal goal for therapy is to walk beside you in an attempt to maintain a healthy balance of all that life brings.

My goal as a therapist is to utilize my education, life experience and work ethic to share the natural healing power of therapy; provide quality care and relief to children, adolescents, adults, seniors, families and couples suffering from psychological distress; and/or searching for a more meaningful existence; to help my clients through their journey of self discovery, healing and change, by instilling hope and confidence for a healthier future.

My passion is to see families stay together, not out of duty or obligation, but because they enjoy and delight in one another's company. I believe the core foundation of a strong and healthy family is a deep, abiding respect for one another. Therefore, my desire is to teach people how to effectively communicate and listen, with the ultimate goal of achieving a safe and healthy family environment where all members have a voice and heart to listen. I know that there are thousands of hurting individuals in my community and I am dedicated to your genuine care.

Intimate connections with others and self-growth are common pursuits for people. However, our own actions and reactions (conscious or not) can get in the way of these pursuits. I work with a variety of people including, individuals, couples, children, and families. Some issues of focus are anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and relationship distress.
