By providing affordable mental health services and effective community programs we increase access and utilization of supportive services that contribute to improved adult, youth, and family functioning.
I help individuals, couples, families, and teens develop a balanced mindset that allows faster progress through challenges, to a deeper understanding of self and others. I work collaboratively with my clients to nurture curiosity and process thoughts and feelings at the client's self-determined pace. For me, therapy is exceptionally helpful for uncovering our identity, healing past our wounds and fortifying our capacity to live more fully.

Do you seek to break cycles within yourself and overcome patterns that have been reinforced by societal, familial and personal narratives? Would you like to tap into your intuition and connection to your roots to find more balance, ease, calmness and creation in your life?

A family has the impossible task of creating a safe and nurturing home for its members while simultaneously facing work stress, academic pressure, global pandemics, natural disasters, unexpected catastrophes, and death and loss.
I originally built my practice based on a specialty in self-injury, which is the population I served for almost two decades. I developed a unique approach that relied on working with self-injurers and their families together, because I have learned that it is in the family where I am able to make the most effective change. I have since become almost primarily a family therapist, with a focus on high-conflict families.

My approach is greatly informed by my training in somatic modalities, internal family systems, attachment theory, humanistic approaches, and EMDR.
At the end of the day, most, if not all of us want to feel a sense of safety, inner peace, and freedom. Traumas at all stages of life rob us of these basic needs, and can instead make us feel anxious, depressed, and unmotivated. I will work with you to uncover the parts inside that long to feel safe, joyous, and free. While these parts may feel far away, together, we will get in touch with them.

Hello, I am Ying Zheng, a California state-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in this field for a decade, worked in multiple sites such as high school, cross-cultural community center, hospital and church. I would like to see counseling as my passion and life pursuit. I respect everyone’s right to make a decision about faith, but I do approach therapy using Christian perspective and values. In addition, I would borrow techniques from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, client-centered, and psychodynamic.

In today's world we are surrounded by constructive and destructive forces. It is easy to get sucked in by the destructive forces such as fear or negativity which can lead to uneasiness, isolation, and disappointments. I believe therapy can be a helpful space to shift your focus to more constructive forces within yourself, your family, and your community. Therapy can help you to channel the pain into creation of a peaceful act, whether that's developing greater self-compassion, or untangling any relationship issues.

I am well-versed in addressing challenges that arise within family dynamics and supporting individuals in strengthening family bonds and communication.
I specialize in addiction therapy with a particular expertise in working with adolescents, young adults, and families. My approach is tailored to the unique challenges and dynamics present within these age groups and family systems. I offer an alternative to traditional addiction treatment programs, focusing on understanding the root causes of addiction rather than solely addressing substance use. Through a collaborative and judgment-free therapeutic process, I work with clients to set goals and facilitate a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships

I have supported people facing difficult issues involving relationships, emotions and mood, work, grief, abuse, trauma, and family life.
I believe that healing, growth, & change is possible for all of us, and that it can occur within authentic relationships when we feel supported, understood, & seen. I have found therapy to be meaningful and impactful when the foundation of the therapeutic relationship feels safe, and is based on genuineness and acceptance. When working with me, I will strive to get to know the whole you, and I will tailor therapy to your individual needs.

We're talking about things like detangling at dysfunctional family dynamics, learning how trauma affects the mind and body, processing difficult experiences, and finding new coping skills.
Hey there, I’m Emily. I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist helping adolescents, young adults, couples, and families work through obstacles and build lasting relationships. My ideal client is someone who comes into therapy with a readiness to engage and a willingness to dive deep into self-exploration. They want to understand the 'whys' of their behavior, the origins of their pain, and they yearn to learn new, healthier ways to cope with life's stressors. They seek to break the cycle of trauma, to build fulfilling relationships, and to move towards a future where their past doesn't dictate their possibilities.
