I am also an EMDR trained therapist to effectively navigate trauma issues.
As an Asian-American DACAmented bilingual/bicultural therapist, my heart lies in supporting members of the AAPI community and other ethnic minorities who have experienced marginalization due to their intersection of identities (ie. spirituality, sexuality/LGBTQ, legal status, cultural backgroud). I work with individuals who have experienced religious and relational trauma, attachment wounds, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, dysfunctional relationships, and repressed sexuality, as a result of internalized cultural and societal messages they were exposed to that have further perpetuated an oppressive narrative around who they are.

Instead, I’m here to meet you where you are, drawing from my expertise in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and more.
Hesitant about therapy? I get it. Not sure where to start? That's okay! Stepping into therapy often comes with a mix of hesitation and doubt—it certainly did for me at first. Whether your interest is driven by personal curiosity or a nudge from your partner, I embrace it. I specialize in men’s issues and couples therapy, offering a judgment-free space where first-timers in therapy can feel at home, couples can find their groove again, and anger management can become less about ‘managing’ and more about understanding. We’ll tackle tough topics, celebrate your wins, and maybe share a laugh or two along the way.

Using an integrative therapeutic approach, I combine Attachment Focused EMDR and psychodynamic talk therapy to dive deep into your subconscious.
You feel broken and unlovable. You feel disconnected from yourself and your life. You have past experiences that you try to forget and you tell yourself that the past does not affect you- but that's not the truth. The truth is, you feel deep pain, hurt, and maybe shame and you are tired of pretending that you're fine. You just wake up and go through the same motions over and over again. Maybe things look great on the outside but on the inside you are struggling to feel anything or you are feeling everything all at once. Let me help you. I will guide you and support you as you process the past so that you can enjoy the present.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, with a focus on attachment issues, as well as traditional talk therapy to guide you as you heal your inner child and learn to give yourself what you need to live healthier and happier.
Did you have a complicated and unhealthy relationship with one or both of your parents growing up? Do you find that now as an adult you struggle to form healthy attachments to people including friendships and romantic relationships? Do you feel that you are damaged in some way and so you overcompensate with people pleasing and perfectionism which leads to anxiety? Do you feel like you are not where you should be in life and you feel hopeless about your future?

Hello, my name is Nancy Rarick, license number is 35274. I have been a licensed therapist for 30 years. I prefer client-centered therapy but utilize many other modalities which benefit my client the most. Currently, I only have a telemedicine practice which enables me to see clients throughout California. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of my client. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, focused solution therapy, and am trained in EMDR and DBT. Because I am a registered nurse, I am passionate about health and wellness and feel physical well-being is synergistic with good mental health.

I specialize in working with trauma survivors. For the past fifteen years, I have been providing therapy to survivors of abusive relationships and intimate-partner violence, sexual abuse, and adult individuals who were molested as children. I am certified in EMDR, an integrative psychotherapy treatment for processing of traumatic memories and adverse experiences and bringing them to an adaptive resolution. I am curious about who my clients are and what they need; I see them as experts of their experiences and I feel honored to be a part of a mutual exploration of their preferred self.

I have had success helping people overcome traumatic issues using a variety of methods from talk therapy to EMDR and expressive therapy.
If you have difficulty forgiving yourself for what you have done, said, or failed to say have relationship conflict, feel depressed, anxious, or have trauma, you need a therapist who is empathetic, knowledgeable, and experienced. In my many years practicing I've had the pleasure of teaching, writing, and helping individuals, couples, and families with vastly different problems. As everyone is different, I adapt to your particular needs. I listen and I partner with you to accomplish what works best for you as I know a wide array of treatment approaches. In fact, I have taught them. I have a very broad knowledge base to draw upon.

I also practice EMDR.
We often forget that our first experience of the world is a shared one; that by nature we are relational beings. Which is why therapy can be so powerful. My job is to help you move away from the things that no longer work (perhaps never did), and toward a preferred way of being. Our process together is one of discovery & transformation, and honors both what you are and what you are becoming. You and I will collaborate to create an environment that is safe and supportive (I don't do that alone -- only you know what is safe). Through compassion & curiosity, our therapy will find new narratives and make meaning of old ones.

"사랑"이라는 이름으로 깊은 상처를 경험한 분들, 자신을 보호하거나 사랑할 힘이 없다고 느끼는 분들과 함께 다양한 접근법 (IFS, EMDR Therapy, Art Therapy, CBT)을 통해 내면의 상처를 치유하고, 성장의 기쁨을 느낄 수 있도록 돕고 있습니다.
In life, people are sometimes feeling stuck, frustrated, or overwhelmed as a result of current life stressors or have been living with long-standing issues. I have often observed that many people don’t remember their inner resources or feel they never have any inner wisdom when they are in challenging situations. I believe that therapeutic process could help people remember their innate resources such as strengths, wisdom, positive emotions, etc.I will support people in improving their lives by gaining personal insights, making healthier choices in difficult times, and allowing for positive change to occur in their lives.

I am a triple-certified trauma specialist (EMDR/Brainspotting/Somatics).
No matter how far you are on your journey, it's likely that there will always be something that's not perfect, or the way you want it to be. When we are hurting (and not present), it's difficult to enjoy life, make decisions, or work through transitions, traumas, painful memories, or experiences. Emotional injuries may lead to difficulties with relationships, self worth, goals, and living to your fullest potential. My name is Isabelle, and I will support you in practicing mindfulness and taking control, rather than "sinking" into painful life situations or memories. I use a variety of effective cutting-edge therapies and tools.

Using therapy approaches like EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and others, I can help you better understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected.
I help people who have experienced trauma gain feelings of peace and freedom. Feelings such as anxiety, numbness, and physical exhaustion are what I want to help you deal with and transform. Do you feel like a piece of you was hurt or broken, and now you can't connect with your true self? Perhaps these negative reactions you are having seem to continually affect your life. My goal is to help you have a better chance of reaching your whole self. The scars of your past do not need to effect your future. I want to help you repair and heal that piece of you that was hurt from your trauma.

I have specialized training in trauma, EMDR and coaching, with a passion for depth approaches.
Are you struggling with a traumatic experience, unsure how to resolve its effect on your life? Looking to improve a relationship? Maybe, you’re experiencing codependency, or narcissistic abuse, and making sense of it all seems overwhelming. Have you noticed an increase in anxiety? Or perhaps, you simply want to make a change, so you're exploring why you think and behave as you do. People seek therapy for many reasons, but almost everyone does so to relieve some kind of pain. I believe relief and healing can be found through our work together, so you can experience your more ideal life.

Hello! I am Adrienne Ramirez, MS, LMFT. My clinical focus is trauma-informed dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Me and my work are a safe space for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and any marginalized community. Everything I do is trauma-informed which means that I focus on behaviors, beliefs, and thoughts as a response to trauma, not "bad behavior" on your part. My approach is pretty eclectic as needed; however, I mainly use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Solution-Focused Therapies, and Internal Family Systems.
Unaddressed childhood traumas and adverse early life experiences can negatively impact us as adults. I support people who are dealing with unresolved trauma, experiencing difficulties in their relationships, experiencing life transitions (such as getting married, career change, becoming a parent), pregnant/postpartum anxiety and depression, women issues, and concerns relating to the Asian experience. You don't have to continue doing this alone and feeling disconnected from others and yourself. If you are ready to do the work for yourself, I am here to support you every step of the way. Your story matters.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
