You don’t have to continue to experience anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or relationship difficulties, and you don’t have to do it alone.
As a modern woman, you have so many things on your plate! It can be challenging to balance both your work and relationships. You may be fed up with recurring anxiety or stress, feeling overwhelmed or exhausted, or like there is no way you can give one more piece of yourself to anyone. Your relationships may be floundering. One thing you know for sure: you’re ready for a change. You’re ready to prioritize yourself and get some support. You’re ready to reconnect with the people who are important to you. Most of all, you’re ready to reconnect with yourself and create a life and lifestyle that is pleasurable and sustainable.

You may come here looking because there are parts of yourself you feel like you must hide. You may feel like there are conflicts with who you are, and how you currently present in the world. You may be coming to a deeper understanding of your gender or sexual identity. It can be hard to know how to talk to your family and friends. This can be a scary time filled with a lot of fear, curiosity, uncertainty, and grief; all of which can complicate your relationship with your family and friends. Together we can explore ways to find a little more ease in the journey.

Therapy is a challenging and deeply transformative experience, one that takes courage and a genuine desire for a better relationship with self and others.
Hello and welcome! If you are struggling with identity issues, anxiety, depression, sexuality, self-esteem, life transitions, and/or relationship difficulties, I believe that we can work together towards healing, resolution, and growth. I work psychodynamically with individuals and couples who want to heal past traumas and pain in order to achieve greater self-awareness, acceptance, and freedom. I believe we are all greatly affected by childhood experiences and relationships, and by examining these we can create the space for greater clarity and growth both on an individual level and within current relationships.

In my work with couples, I utilize a Gottman informed framework along with a perspective of balancing the individual and the relationship to bring a deeper understanding of how your individual issues are manifesting in your relationship and how you can work together to overcome them.
As an openly gay bi-cultural man, I’ve spent the better part of my adult life unlearning the harmful messages our world tells us about what it means to be different - that we are somehow broken or unworthy. I am here to tell you they are wrong. You are fabulous, vibrant, and deserving of all the gifts this world has to offer. I became a therapist to share what I’ve learned and to bring healing not just to queer folks, but to anyone who knows what it feels like to be left out. When we work together, you can expect a safe, affirming, and sometimes silly space where we collaborate to find real solutions you can implement right away.

Clients who would benefit most are those confronting relationship concerns; struggle with body image, intimacy, sexual or identity expression; and who seek to transcend constraining paradigms.
I am a sex-positive therapist here to help you dismantle the sex negativity or social bias that prevents you from moving forward. I am psychodynamic and trauma-informed with experience in the BDSM, kink, queer, ethical non-monogamous, polyamorous, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. My life experience as a Black man informs my professional work to allow me to understand and connect with diverse populations. I create a safe and supportive space that acknowledges your unique background and life experience, building your health and strength to allow you to explore and develop paradigms and beliefs to support your goals and aspirations.

I work relationally, understanding that our psychic structure is formed through relationship.
There are many reasons you might be seeking therapy. Some include feelings of anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, ones meaning or purpose, confusion of identity, addictions, or difficulty in one’s family of origin. Struggles such as these can become prolonged issues and fail to reach an agreeable resolve. I am here to listen to you, create a safe space of non-judgement, compassion, and creativity for us to explore and understand your unique experience. I believe you are the expert of your own life and I am here to support you according to your individual needs.

Hi there. I am passionate about supporting couples and individual adult clients in a variety of life challenges. With couples, my goal is to deepen the emotional connection between partners and to increase the honest expression of each partners needs. With both couples, and individuals, I strive to help my clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors impact their health and happiness. We might be a great fit if you struggle to practice self-compassion, if your inner critic is loud and harsh, and/or if you want to become more aware of relationship patterns that aren’t working for you.

Perhaps from the outside your life seems pretty good? Maybe there's even a part of you that feels guilty complaining, asking for help? Or, maybe you're in a full-blown crisis? Maybe you've been listening to self help books & podcast? Practicing gratitude & positivity? Meditating & praying? But something still feels OFF ...at home, at work, in your quiet moments alone ...in your relationship with your partner, kids, friends, parents ...with your SELF, your body, age, appearance, relationship-status? Do you feel exhausted? Overwhelmed? Anxious? Numb? Lost? Sad? A tightness in your chest? A pit in your stomach? Like you might explode?

You're feeling depressed, isolated, frustrated and angry with the state of the world. And yet you're still expected to keep up with overwhelming pressures and demands of day to day life. It can feel impossible. All this stress can cause us to lose sight of what’s important and end up stuck in the same unhelpful patterns in our work, our relationships, and our own thoughts. But it doesn't have to be this way. What if you could get back in touch with your hopes, dreams, and desires? I work with clients struggling with bipolar disorder or depression, job and career stress, loneliness, and relationship conflicts.

I truly enjoy working with clients who are seeking understanding of themselves and wanting to create some change in their lives. I also understand that true intimacy is created from the client-patient relationship, therefore it is tantamount to find the right therapist that you (the patient) feels safe/comfortable enough to say anything that is needed in order to illicit insight/change. I ask that all my clients outline specific therapeutic goals so that together we be clear as to our purpose and stay the course of treatment. I am client-focused and open to feedback since treatment is made for the client.

I also support folks who decide that deescalating their relationship or breaking up is the best thing to do.
I work with couples and those in platonic relationships in all different stages—maybe you and your partner(s) want a dedicated space and time to connect and focus on your relationship or would like to work through challenges and issues as they arise or you’re going through a major life transition (like a new health diagnosis or moving in together) and need some additional support. Maybe you’re interested in opening up your relationship and want to explore ethical nonmonogamy or polyamory. Or you and your best friend had some recent ruptures you’d like to try and repair with the help of someone else. That’s where I come in.

I understand that life can feel overwhelming at moments and that it is common to feel stuck, lost, or defeated. My priority in the therapy process is to help you feel better, change unhelpful patterns or behaviors, and to help you create new ways of navigating stress, anxiety, and relationships. To facilitate this process, I combine my professional knowledge and experience for treating anxiety, chronic worry, depression, and relationship issues, with empirically supported treatments that work, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy.

The therapy relationship is a great place to clarify how you operate in relationships and to explore new ways of connecting.
I have a core belief in the power of relationships to heal and transform. My work focuses on relationship patterns and how to identify and change habits that prevent closeness and intimacy. I also work with people to identify how their feelings affect their thoughts and behaviors and how to find peace, calm and most importantly, balance in their lives and relationships. I am interactive, supportive and real with my clients in an effort to help them work toward their own goals and take charge of their own lives. Additionally, I have extensive training and expertise as a child and adolescent specialist in a wide range of settings.

I have extensive experience working with lesbian, queer-identified, transgender and gender expansive folks, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those exploring their relationship to sexuality, kink, and gender.
With each of my clients, I cultivate a compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive environment. I believe that the therapeutic relationship provides a safe space for identity exploration, so that you can more fully embody your truth in your day-to-day life. While a sense of progress is integral to the therapeutic journey, we will create a personalized understanding of what growth looks like for you, rather than settling for more prescriptive goals. As a relational therapist, I help people foster deeper understanding and self-awareness, overcome unhelpful and defeating patterns, and build self-esteem.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
