I strive to support you in your journey of self discovery and healing by showing up authentically and empathetically, providing a nonjudgmental and compassionate space, and developing an honest and secure therapeutic relationship in which you can feel safe to identify and work through the patterns and beliefs that are no longer serving you.
I specialize in working with Millenials, Gen Z, LGBTQ+ folx, who want to get to know themselves on a deeper level, improve relationships with self and others, and find more meaning and joy in life. I have a gentle and loving approach, while also working together to learn when I may need to challenge you or call you out on your blind spots that might be getting in your way. If you have ever struggled to untangle your identity, felt alienation from your community, religion, or even your family in a way that has made you question if who you are or your life choices are “bad,” I’d love to help you sort through that, and heal old wounds.

Reconnect to life, nature & your authentic self. Cultural pressures, defenses, fears, fantasies & attachment styles serve as guides to a deep story about your origins, unique needs & desires. Rather than condemn symptoms, let's get curious and engage in creative exploration. You can mourn your losses, build resilience & embark on a meaningful relationship with personal goals to take ownership of your narrative. Together, we can unearth ingrained beliefs that do not serve your true purpose & desire to grow, discover tools to thrive, & reignite your authentic self expression, hopefulness, connection with others, & your life force.

I offer a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment where we can communicate openly with one another and work on the issues at hand; it is a healthy and informative process where clients find that not only their relationship with themselves improve, but also those with others.
I help those who feel stuck and feel overwhelmed. Often, we need a safe person to help us walk through those thoughts and feelings and perhaps, look at them from a new perspective. I have experience with couples and individuals working through anxiety (worry, panic, phobias & social anxiety), depression, grief, trauma, and addiction recovery. I support people who find themselves in a different world due to marital conflict, divorce, infidelity, and single parenting. My goal is to guide you to gain clarity, learn to trust yourself, and ultimately heal.

I come from the heart. I'm here to help you feel safe and secure. I am here to go on a journey with you to find your true self, to lift depression, to work with anxiety, and transform this time of crisis into stronger relationships and more heart-felt productivity. As a gay, Jewish man, I have an ear for all people struggling with difference and oppression. I can go deep with you into healing old trauma. Or I can help you coach you with day-to-day career and relationship challenges. If you need a therapy to jump-start new growth in the New Year, I am here for you on that quest of both self-discovery and seeing more palpable results.

I do my best work with creative & open-hearted individual adults who are dedicated to exploring their inner experience and moving towards greater self-awareness. Usually these folks struggle with anxiety, past family & personal trauma, sadness, creative blocks & difficult life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive & non-judgmental therapeutic space for reflection and change. That looks like a shame-free, co-created relationship where warmth, empathy & humor are not only valued, but encouraged.

I hold the fundamental belief that a compassionate, reflective and authentically direct therapeutic relationship can help you explore and express the parts of yourself necessary to grow and heal. This can be true for particularly trying periods of life, for emotional health maintenance, or for persistent challenges. I work from a psychodynamic, attachment-focused lens, and utilize a holistic but grounded approach to clarify and address the key memories, limiting beliefs, thoughts and feelings that are at the root cause of distress or discomfort.

I am a clinical social worker providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. My areas of specialty and interest are LGBTQ-identified people, kids and teens, and people struggling with eating disorders. I value critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and humor within the therapeutic relationship. I treat my clients with respect and acknowledge that they are the authorities of their own lives. I make an effort to emphasize strengths without invalidating very real feelings or minimizing problems. I collaborate with my clients to develop effective and individualized treatment plans to empower them to make changes in their own lives.

While these all involve others, the relationship we have with ourselves is the one that carries us through.
We all get scared sometimes - scared things will change, scared things won’t change, scared of who we truly are or who we might become. Life can really throw us for a loop. It takes real bravery to face the things that scare us. And only through that bravery can we actually accept ourselves for who we are, what we truly want and what part we’ve had in creating the thing that scares us. Once we can accept this, we can begin to create a life reflecting truth, authenticity and integrity.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
