In today's world we are surrounded by constructive and destructive forces. It is easy to get sucked in by the destructive forces such as fear or negativity which can lead to uneasiness, isolation, and disappointments. I believe therapy can be a helpful space to shift your focus to more constructive forces within yourself, your family, and your community. Therapy can help you to channel the pain into creation of a peaceful act, whether that's developing greater self-compassion, or untangling any relationship issues.

At the root of most of our struggles and concerns are relational needs that were unmet or a ruptured relationship due to various forms of trauma.
Do you need someone to listen & care genuinely about you & your life without judgment. Families and life transitions can be difficult to navigate especially with divorce, blending families, adolescents with challenging behavior, aging parents, & death; compounded with financial, medical, educational, spiritual, relational, and identity decisions can be overwhelming. Depression and anxiety can cause additional relational & health concerns, with out support it can lead to additional mental health issues. I'm here to build a relationship of trust and compassion which will help you find the inner strength to battle life stresses.

Trust and respect are just a couple of the essential aspects of a good therapeutic relationship.
Maybe you remember this scene from a movie; picture it, a peaceful airplane ride becomes turbulent. The plane begins losing altitude rapidly. The flight attendant urgently instructs you to "put your oxygen mask on first" before helping others. That simple, but critical statement, is just as important in our everyday lives. Remembering to take time to yourself, non selfishly, can be difficult for anyone who tends to place others' needs first. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, decisions, choices, wants, and needs in your therapy. I will assist you in" finding your voice" and help you to "put your oxygen mask on first.

I believe an authentic relationship and connection is the foundation of productive therapy.
This can be so overwhelming: scrolling through therapist after therapist, trying to figure out the next step. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and in my private practice, I work with people struggling with anxiety, chronic avoidance, chronic annoyance, PTSD, addiction, relationship issues, or just the drudgery of adult life. I specifically enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community and people navigating major life changes. I also now offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).

In addition, I also work assisting those with depression, anxiety, phobias, eating disorders, ADHD, LGBTQ identity issues, chemical dependency, anger management, divorce, sexuality, and relationship issues.
Everyone has within them the ability to attain personal growth by gaining insight into their unique strengths. During times of stress, this inner resilience can be called upon to guide them in discovering purpose and meaning in their lives, improving interpersonal relationships, and adapting to healthier patterns of relating to others. I take a collaborative, yet challenging approach in assisting children, adults, couples, and families on their path towards positive change. I use a solution-focused exploration of current struggles to help them break unhealthy patterns and develop coping skills and a sense of hope and strength.

I specialize in providing LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy with teens, adults, and relationship partners who are exploring their sexuality, gender, and relationship-expansive (kink, poly, ENM) identities.
There are infinite reasons we seek therapy. You may find yourself disconnected from your relationships and exhausted by not feeling understood. You may feel pressure to be a perfect person, partner and parent, or struggling to name your feelings or needs in your relationships. I strive to co-create an attuned, safe space and our collaboration will center around your hopes, goals, and intersectional identities. When we allow the unfolding of emotional experiences, it can lead us to the emergence of a deeper understanding of yourself, self-acceptance, and connecting to the power and participation you have in relationships.

My focus is with men’s issues around masculinity, purpose, codependency, anger, self-esteem, parenting and relationships. I aim to provide a safe space for support, collaboration, and guidance on how to improve your relationship with yourself, because I believe that all of our relationships—whether it be with a partner, family, friends, work, sex, drugs, your phone, food, etc.—are a reflection of our relationship with ourselves. A deeper connection with yourself is a requirement for improving your relationship with others and building a more meaningful life.
