The following are my trainings and certifications; Certified in CPI (Crisis Prevention Interventions) - Certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT) - Trained MAP Therapy - Trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Trained in Mindfulness Counseling.
One of the most important things that therapy can help you to achieve is awareness. Awareness allows for change. This is a phrase I have coined that you will hear from me often. When we achieve awareness within ourselves, awareness of our environment, and awareness of our patterns of thoughts and behaviors - that's when positive changes can start to happen. As your therapist, I will be an additional resource for you as you endeavor to explore the areas of your life that need your energy and attention. You and I will develop a therapeutic relationship wherein we get to know one another and we work together toward your treatment goals

I bring mindfulness techniques into the therapy experience in combination with individualized, integrative treatment plans.
Starting therapy can be overwhelming. My goal is to eliminate that stress and create a space for adolescents, adults, couples, and families to process emotions and explore their identities and their relationships in a non-judgmental, safe environment. We all undergo transitions and experiences that require additional support from an objective third party to allow us to thrive personally and interpersonally. I utilize individualized, evidence-based approaches to foster a collaborative environment that produces long-term change.

I use a trauma focused lens and incorporate modalities like EMDR Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal theory, Mindfulness, and Existential theory into my practice.
Many clients I work with struggle to connect to their authentic self and inherent value and I assist in reconnecting through grace, compassion and honesty. I believe healing happens when you engage in healing acts and therapy is a healing act. I know how difficult it can be to see yourself and the world clearly when dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, complex trauma and substance use. I believe I can guide you to create space between you and these symptoms so you can feel safe, connected and increase your capacity to experience all of life.

Mindfulness is the foundation of all that I do in my practice.
We don't have to live a life controlled by our emotional pain, instead we can learn to be in the driver's seat of our own experiences. Learning to be present in our own lives is a lot of what therapy is. Through this we learn about our patterns and feel empowered to do something different. Starting the path of finding a therapist can be so intimidating and vulnerable. It is an act of courage, and making the choice to take control of your story, to be the author instead of the character. I'm so glad you took this step and are here!
