I have specialized training in psychodynamic therapy and adult psychoanalysis and work with adolescents, adults, couples and families.
People seek a psychotherapist because they are experiencing emotional distress, often caused by issues related to relationships, family, marital problems, stress, and general dissatisfaction with one's life or work. My job as a psychologist is to find a path leading to both relief of these symptoms and to an understanding of oneself, which together provide for both short term and long term relief from these states. I do this by providing a non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic environment which promotes a deeper understanding and exploration of oneself, with the belief that this increased self-awareness ultimately leads to positive changes and better coping skills.

As the former Clinical Director and Trauma Therapist at an Eating Disorder Treatment Center, I've gained extensive experience working with diverse clients, including families, adults, couples, and adolescents.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us," Ralph Waldo Emerson. In therapy, we'll embrace a holistic approach, exploring the connection between your mind, body, and spirit. We'll foster balance and resilience through self-discovery, enriching your quality of life. We'll identify and challenge negative thought patterns using DBT, CBT, EMDR, and more. When needed we’ll develop healthy eating habits and a positive exercise routine. Nurturing your spirituality is encouraged to ease fear and promote gratitude. This journey unlocks inner potential and empowers a more harmonious life.

I work with children, adolescents, adults and couples who struggle with stressful life events, problems in relationships, or the internal confusion that arises when we feel disconnected from ourselves and therefore others.
Self-awareness and understanding of our internal needs and motivations is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and the ones we love. Our experiences as children are woven into our adult selves, and interact with our temperaments, life circumstances and connections with others. When these threads get tangled, psychotherapy can help us understand why and guide us in either untying the knots, or learning to accept them as part of the beauty of the fabric of who we are.

I have more than 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescent and adults.
As a psychoanalyst I believe that an individual's feelings and behaviors are motivated by a variety of unconscious factors often resulting in people feeling stuck. Psychoanalysis helps individuals finally break these habits by understanding their root causes and enable significant changes at the very core of one's emotional responses. Using these experiences, the analyst helps the patient work on a deeply unconscious level to eliminate unproductive and destructive patterns. This opens the patient to new, fresh and genuine experiences and solutions in their lives. This process is achievable through empathy and respect.

I have experience providing psychotherapy for adults, couples, families, young adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Psychotherapy can be a challenging process and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is not always easy. Quite frankly, establishing a therapeutic relationship with a stranger can be scary! This is why as a psychologist I strive to create a collaborative, safe, and supportive space for patients. My approach to the therapeutic process is integrative, identifying interventions tailored to benefit the patient’s well-being and working on the therapeutic goals established. I am a in the final year of my doctoral program in Clinical Psychology and possess a master of science degree in Clinical Psychology.

I am accepting new patients, for children, teens, adults, and couples.
People search for therapy for various reasons. Most often these reasons include feelings of sadness, experiencing difficulties adjusting to life changes, difficulties dealing with chronic physical pain, emotional pain, trauma, depression, anger, stress and anxieties. Perhaps you are trying to heal from a difficult relationship breakup, leaving you feeling sad and defeated. It could be that you are a part of a newly formed blended family, living together for the first time, and instead of joy you are experiencing chaos. You may be seeking help, because your spouse has received orders for yet another deployment with the military.

As a first-generation Latina, I know the experience of first gen and I understand how big a role culture plays in our interactions, relationships, and even how we view ourselves. I also understand the anxiety of being first gen, POC and struggling to find your voice. I want to help you find that voice. I have extensive experience working with anxiety in adults and adolescents. There are genuine barriers and systems we all face every day along with the stigma our communities may place on us. You will find a safe and open space here.
