What would your relationships, health or career look like if fear, anxiety or depression were no longer obstacles? In our work together, we'll explore a deeper part of yourself and uncover possible patterns that may be contributing to your current challenges.
You may've wondered why you couldn't just be happier, more confident, or less anxious. Perhaps you find yourself heartbroken or sense that your relationship is in trouble. You may feel stuck in a career or project with little motivation to move forward. Maybe you're struggling to handle painful emotions or a traumatic past. If left unaddressed, these difficulties may lead to depression, anxiety, or a host of relationship issues that can stop you from creating the life you want.

Adult children of narcissists and emotionally immature parents often find their way to therapy at some point in life seeking to understand why they feel depressed and anxious. I specialize in the impact these early relationships have on our adult lives. You may have developed heightened empathy either as a response to your upbringing or as one of the 20% of the population who identify as a Highly Sensitive Person. Either way our work together aims to alleviate your confusion and suffering, heal past trauma and restore your connection to yourself and others.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, your past, your present, or your future, you don’t have to do it alone. A shift in perspective can profoundly affect how we feel and what we are able to do, or stop doing, in our lives. Talking with someone who is both objective and 100% on your side can help you see things from a new angle and move forward in new ways, with someone who cares standing behind you.

I work with a wide range of emotional & behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to parenting support, couples therapy and beyond.
Everyone goes through challenging situations in life & while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you've faced, there's nothing wrong with seeking out extra support. Therapy can be a tremendous asset to managing personal growth, interpersonal relationships, marriage issues, & the hassles of daily life. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying a variety of therapeutic approaches we can explore long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling & meaningful life.

Many of my clients come in with anxiety, depression, learning, relationship, identity and self-esteem issues, as well as issues around addiction.
Are you concerned about a child or adolescent that is struggling? Are they shutting down and sad? Worried or mad? Are they having trouble functioning at school or with friends? How about at home and with their family? Has something in their life changed? Maybe they need a little more support at this particular time... Therapy can help. I work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families.

Not accepting new clients
I'm a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with two decades of experience helping people deal successfully with anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress; matters of self direction, identity, and confidence; grief and loss; creative blocks and career concerns; bi-polar and panic disorders; substance abuse and addiction; and family and relationship issues.
It's been said that the ultimate purpose of psychotherapy is to introduce a person to herself or himself. The struggles of life can cause us to lose touch with our true thoughts, our true feelings, our true selves and, as a result, we can become dissatisfied and unhappy living the life that we think we’re supposed to live rather than the one we truly desire. Effective psychotherapy can reconnect us with our authentic selves and, once that has been accomplished, everything is possible. It is this principle that guides all of the work I do with my clients.

With over a decade of experience we offer a range of practices to serve in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression and psycho-spiritual exploration.
Integrate /ˈin(t)əˌɡrāt/: to become whole Modern day life is not for the faint of heart. Thinking clearly and finding sustainable peace and harmony often seems impossible. This often leads to anxiety, depression, decreased self worth, increased self criticism, loneliness and addiction and feeling stuck. Many times we are left with a feeling of being fragmented and broken and needing to be “fixed”. At Integrate, we have the unwavering belief that we are already whole. We believe that every person has profound “inner healing intelligence” that can be cultivated to help a person heal, thrive and connect.

For over thirteen years, I've been seeing clients (both individuals and couples) and my goal has always been to help them achieve meaningful change, whether in getting through a difficult current situation or wanting to break old patterns that keep them from living a more fulfilling life. Some challenges I've helped people overcome include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, feeling stuck in a rut, grief, hopelessness, self-esteem issues, and work-related stress. Exploring these issues with a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental therapist can really help.

I have worked with clients on various issues such as separation, trauma, depression, anxiety, family issues, relationship issues, and existential crises. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship. Symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma etc., are not easy to go through alone and that is why I am here. Building a strong foundation helps my clients understand that they in fact are not alone, and we can work together to help relieve these symptoms.

There are good reasons to look for support right now. Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, or have a desire to know yourself better. Sometimes, it's possible to figure things out on your own, and sometimes, it takes the help of another. The beginning of therapy is a time to work together and find a rhythm to the relationship, one of comfort and emotional safety. This is an important place to start. From there it becomes possible to think about the issues that are impacting you, in a process of reflection and uncovering which looks a little different for everyone.

Depression Therapists

What is the goal of therapy for depression?

Therapy for depression has several major goals. One is to relieve the mental pain of depression, which distorts feeling and thinking so that sufferers cannot see beyond their current state of mind or envision feeling better. Another is to give people the mental tools to recognize and correct the kinds of distorted thinking that turn a problem into a catastrophe and lead to despair. Therapy also teaches people how to process negative emotions in constructive ways, so they have more control over their own emotional reactivity. And it helps people regain the ability to see themselves positively, the motivation to do things, and the capacity for pleasure.

What happens in therapy for depression?

Perhaps most important, no matter the type of therapy, patients form an alliance with the therapist; that connection is therapeutic in itself, plus it becomes an instrument of change. Patients learn to identify and to challenge their own erroneous beliefs and thoughts that amplify the effects of negative experiences. They learn to identify situations in which they are especially vulnerable. And they learn new patterns of thinking and behaving. They may be given “homework” assignments in which they practice their developing skills. In addition, good therapists regularly monitor patients to assess whether and how much the condition is improving.

What therapy types help with depression?

Several types of short-term therapy have been found effective, each targeting one or more areas of dysfunction. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps clients challenge their negative thoughts and beliefs, learn new behavioral strategies, and curb reactivity to distressing situations. Behavioral activation (BA) is a form of therapy often used in conjunction with CBT; it focuses on engagement in rewarding activity as a pathway to changing negative feelings and disturbed mood. Another widely used approach is interpersonal therapy (IPT), which targets the social difficulties that both give rise to and get exacerbated by depression. Therapists may combine approaches as needed.

Can therapy for depression be done online?

Studies have found that online therapy can be highly effective for treating depression, although it may be more challenging to build a good therapist-patient alliance on screen than in person—at least at first. However, online therapy can offer considerable advantages. Accessibility and convenience are tops among them. Some people actually find it easier to talk about problems online than in person. While online therapy typically limits visibility of facial expression and body gestures that give important nonverbal cues to a patient’s state of mind, it can give therapists a glimpse into a patient’s world and life, providing information that can be highly useful in guiding therapy.

How effective is therapy for depression?

Many studies show that therapy is highly effective provided that patients complete the prescribed course of therapy, commonly 16 to 20 sessions. Over the long term, it is more effective than medication and the effects are more enduring. As a result, psychotherapy has the power not just to relieve current suffering but to prevent future episodes of the disorder. Therapy reverses the dysfunction in neural circuitry that disposes individuals to a negative view of themselves, the world, and their future and they acquire coping techniques, problem-solving skills, and understanding of their own vulnerabilities that are useful over the course of a lifetime.
