I have been working as a therapist in Southern California for eight years. I have worked with a variety of cultures, ethnicities, and socioeconomic statuses. Most of my experience has been working with the Hispanic/Latin American population. Previously I have worked with victims of violent crimes, childhood trauma, and stress caused by transitions in life. Therefore I have experience working with dyads such as parent-child and couples. Also, I have worked with adolescents and children.

Beginning therapy takes courage, and I feel a direct and simplistic approach can help alleviate the struggle brought on by work, relationships, and personal challenges. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing struggles with life, relationships and/or a variety of mental health disorders. A client's goals can be defined in session and issues may be intertwined when explored in more detail. My style of therapy is adaptable to the need of the client. By working together we can gain a better understanding of your past to create a more optimistic future. I am bilingual Punjabi/English.

I am passionate about providing both understanding and compassion to all of my clients. I've loved and cherished my family relationships, both while growing up, and now with my wife and children. I strive to provide a safe environment to share highs and lows and hopes and fears with clients as they too pursue those cherished relationships.

Therapy offers the opportunity to share with someone, maybe for the first time who you really are. A safe therapist will help minimize feelings of shame and guide you toward deep appreciation for the younger parts of yourself that protected you from overwhelming pain. Unprocessed pain makes it difficult to trust that the people you care about most are attached to you. In couples therapy both sides likely feel unseen, alone, and fearful that they are not worth being loved the way they desire.

My approach is one rooted in recognizing we all struggle with something and face challenges in life that we could use support through. Having been on both couch as a client and in the chair as a provider, I am fully aware of the vulnerability that growth requires and the importance of trust in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to show appreciation for each person I work with and to engage with clients in an authentic and comfortable way that is conducive to progress and change.

My approach will be to listen to you and find out what you want and need, and we will work together on deciding the path I tend to use what therapeutic interventions are best to assist you and what will work best for you. I like to create a safe place for someone to feel they can express themselves, their thoughts and their feelings. I am empathetic and I believe I connect well with people which helps guide people to reaching their goals. I think it is important to use some humor at times as well
