I utilize EMDR, Internal Family Systems, EFT, and other trauma focused modalities to heal and release the past.
Are you in need of healing from past traumas and old patterns that are blocking you from experiencing the life you deserve? I believe inside all of us there is an unharmable part that is our true-self. I see myself as a guide in the healing process, directing you back to your true-self, that often gets buried under cultural conditioning, other’s opinions, and inaccurate conclusions you drew as a child that became an unconscious belief system. I specialize in healing trauma, addiction, anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping my clients regain a sense of empowerment by healing the past, allowing for an abundant and fulfilling future.

I specialize in helping increase a couple's connection and understanding, even after an affair, using Emotionally Focused Therapy ( EFT).
Instead of spending time looking for a therapist, let's get started working on the obstacles that may be hindering your quality of life. I love working with people in their process of self-improvement and helping them tackle obstacles that make them feel stuck or distressed. I focus on providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing struggles and successes. I use talk therapy and EMDR therapy to assist people working through difficult issues and to help them increase positive connections in their lives. Give me a call. Let's see if working together would be a good fit for you!

Using Emotionally Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems, we'll address emotional disconnection and inner conflicts.
My ideal client is someone who feels trapped by their emotional struggles and is seeking a way to break free from the patterns that hold them back. They may be dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, and they have reached a point where they recognize the need for change but feel unsure about how to achieve it. Their main issue is a disconnection from their true self, which manifests in feelings of being stuck, unfulfilled, and overwhelmed by their internal conflicts. I also work with couples who are facing relational challenges and are looking to reconnect and build a healthier, more fulfilling partnership.

I utilize interventions based in cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy and attachment-based theories.
I am honored to be a therapist because I am constantly reminded of the strength and beauty of humanity. I witness my clients practice the art of healing through the ups and downs with compassion. I love working with clients not only on thoughts, feelings, behaviors, patterns, and symptoms but also somatically. Working holistically, including all of you in sessions: mind, body, and even spirit is a passion of mine but of course not a requirement. Above all else, my sole intention is to empower you on your healing journey, so please, come as you are!

I love using Narrative and EFT modalities.
What courage it takes for you to just be here. Welcome. And thank you for taking this step. Life is challenging and my belief is that even with a little help, you can overcome those challenges and function at your best. The past can be your teacher, and time your healer. My belief is that when we stop fighting the past or our present hardships is when we can THRIVE. I will meet you where you are. We can go from there.

Emotionally Focused Therapists

Who is emotionally focused therapy for?

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.

Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?

People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.

What happens in emotionally focused therapy?

Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.

What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?

EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
