The most common cause of relationship breakdown is the backlog of unexpressed feeling and unresolved issues that fail to get the air time they need.
I work with people in the context of their relationships. All the problems, struggles and pains that drive people to seek therapy are sourced in their relationships. Non-nourishing relationships are the spawning ground for them, while nourishing ones make them go away, fade into the background, lessen their load, to the point of no longer needing therapy. All of the work I do is about empowering the transformation of relationships by developing the relationship with your Self. My work is tailored for those with unquenchable thirst for connection, for their relationships to work better and derive more nourishment from them, and those

I tried to stop, but I can't! My pornography use/sexual behavior is getting in the way of my relationship - Aren't I enough? Doesn't he love me? I am in so much pain, hurting because my partner watches porn or sexually acts out in our relationship.
I am grateful that you have made the step to create a happier, healthier life. Life can become unmanageable, stressful and chaotic when you haven't dealt with the difficulties of your past or situations that suddenly come up that knock you off your foundation. Healing and change is a process which is most productive when we work together toward common goals. Allow me to guide, support, encourage, educate and find yourself again or develop who you want to become. You are greater than your pain and stronger than you think you are.

Greetings! My name is Franklin R. Smith. I am a licensed MFT with over thirty years of experience. I help clients unravel where destructive life patterns come from and empower them to have a more fulfilling life. I have assisted many individuals to rapidly get to the core of personal problems that have kept them from living up to their full potential.

Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who you once were? Maybe you’re caught in toxic relationships or self-sabotaging patterns, wondering, “Why do I keep finding myself in the same painful situations?” or “I know this isn’t right, but I don’t know how to break free.” You might be facing the challenges of motherhood, struggling to hold onto your identity, or feeling like you’ve lost touch with your values and sense of purpose. These struggles can leave you feeling drained and uncertain, but you don’t have to navigate them alone.

Let me help you "Design Your Life!" We tend to design certain parts of our lives, maybe where we're going to live, or what kind of job we want to have. But when it comes to the most important things: relationships, marriages, parenting, and our own happiness, we often tend to just land where we land. Then we wonder why we are not happy or why things are not working out the way we had hoped. My goal is to help you get in the "driver's seat" of your life, to find true fulfillment, to "Design Your Life."

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
