My specialties are grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflict.
The reasons people seek therapy are varied but often feel overwhelming and inescapable. Feelings of anger, sadness, rejection and loneliness contribute to weak relationships and negative self-images.

Through the unique connection of therapy you can learn to balance acceptance and change. By identifying self protective behaviors and defenses you can understand their origins, purpose, and how they may now be causing more suffering than protection. The symptoms of these barriers manifest as depression, anxiety, addiction, relational conflict, substance abuse, loneliness and physical illness. You can learn to challenge and release these old beliefs and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others. Through the balancing process of acceptance versus change you can develop new understanding that promotes healing and growth.

Whether you are dealing with personal or family issues, trauma, grief, depression, or anxiety, I offer a comfortable and judgement-free environment. As you engage in the therapeutic process of inner growth, I will be encouraging and sensitive to your unique experience. It is okay to not feel okay! To quote Carl Jung, “We don't get wounded alone and we don't heal alone.”

Having those tools and skills allows them to have a higher threshold for feeling ungrounded, anxious and other unnerving feelings.
I enjoy working with every individual of all ages, but I absolutely love working with children and teens. I tailor my approach based on what the client needs. I use play or art therapy as play is the language of the children. It helps them to express their internal world when they have no words for it. I have completed the core competencies for Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) under International Model. PCIT is an evidence-based intervention that promotes positive parent-child relationships while reducing disruptive behaviors at home. I am also a certified Positive Discipline Parenting Educator.

I am an LMFT who is very passionate about serving the BIPOC and Muslim communities. Especially given my cultural background as the daughter of Lebanese immigrants, I am interested in making mental health services more accessible and catered towards diverse cultural backgrounds. I also speak Arabic fluently and have experience conducting therapy in Arabic. I have extensive experience in working with women, adolescents, children, and families.
