As an experienced Cognitive Behavioral therapist specializing in women's issues, I believe that if we work together to transform your mindset and develop tools to improve your mood, you can stop the downward spiral and enjoy life again.
Does this sound familiar? You want to be happy and fulfilled but instead you feel uncomfortable in your own skin, paralyzed by anxiety about what life will throw at you next, like you are constantly spiraling and no longer have confidence and stuck and alone. These feelings can result in having a negative outlook on life causing you to experience difficulties in intimate relationships, work, school and parenting. Life doesn’t have to stay this way! My name is Sharon Greene. I can help. I provide therapy online and in person for anxiety and depression using the most effective practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I utilize evidenced-based practices ( CBT, EMDR) to support my clients in creating lasting, meaningful change.
Most clients come to me when they’ve reached a crisis or inflection point in their lives. Maybe you have recently lost a loved one, become a parent, or received a life-changing diagnosis. The rug has been pulled out & you can't imagine how to move forward in this new reality. Or maybe your anxiety or trauma is holding you back from the life you want to live or the person you want to be. Parents may realize that the fears or behaviors their children are struggling with are beyond growing pains, but feel at a loss to help them. Whatever your reason, I am glad you found your way here.

I integrate various evidence-based approaches, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT), Exposure Response Prevention, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
Life is filled with challenges and uncertainty, which often makes it difficult to move forward. Both children and adults’ experiences of the unknown can result in them feeling anxious, worried, and/or frustrated. I have focused my professional work in helping people gradually face their fears and problematic behaviors while integrating coping strategies along the way. I strive to help each client recognize their resilience and ability to grow.

I specialize in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy ( CBT).
My goal as a licensed psychologist is to help individuals, couples, families, and groups find harmony between what they "think," how they "feel," and what they "do" as they work through multiple life challenges and demands. Since its beginning, the vision of my practice has focused on providing culturally-sensitive mental health services to diverse populations exhibiting a full range of difficulties and psychological disorders. This vision is launched from a cognitive-behavioral framework. My practice reflects the insight offered by Albert Einstein: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." Hence, for change to happen, "thinking matters."

I provide empirically supported treatments, incorporating CBT, RCT, Systems, Attachment, and a Trauma Informed Approach, infusing mindfulness/meditation/Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes.
It is wisely said that “each client comes to the session embodying multiple voices from the past”. I believe this reflects the complexities and beauty in both being and understanding ourselves. I am a psychotherapist, clinical trainer and professor. I specialize in individual, couples, and group therapy, working with individuals who struggle with trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, and relational wounds. My work is performed with cultural intentionality so as to help clients develop insight/self-awareness that helps them to better navigate transitional/life difficulties. I also provide diversity, equity & inclusion workshops

My general approach is based on cognitive-behavioral theory, borrowing from more eclectic approaches as each case indicates.
While I have a strong and lengthy background in treating autistic spectrum disorders (including PDD and Asperger's) from toddler age to adults, including counseling for "mixed" couples (one on the autistic spectrum and the other "neurotypical"), I have had good results with individuals who are struggling with a variety of different issues, including: anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and other learning or developmental disorders. Currently, as I am doing virtual sessions exclusively, I am only working with adults at this time.

(Zoom Video sessions) My ideal client: A creative, motivated, and intelligent professional with an obsession, usually drugs/alcohol and/or sex. A higher percentage of creative people struggle with addiction, because they just don't know when to quit! Creatives frequently have low self-esteem, often despite proven success. Using cognitive ( CBT) techniques and psychodynamic methods (how events from the past affect the present) I use a pragmatic, individualized approach. I include solution-focused and music/art therapy to help the client gain insight and put the insight to work to achieve realistic goals.

I use cognitive behavioral therapy and guided imagery.
Are you looking for a therapist because your relationships are out of sorts? Are you feeling stuck, depressed, anxious, isolated or afraid? Is this troubled relationship with yourself, your life partner, your children, your parents, your co-workers? Relationships affect all aspects of our lives. Communication, anger, substance abuse and life's traumas affect all of these relationships. I believe that trauma and other life disruptions are at the heart of what ails us emotionally. We don't have to live with the fall-out from negative life events forever; there are specific things we can do to heal.
