I have provided Christian counseling for the past 2 decades as a pastoral counselor after graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in year 2002 and worked as a mental health provider for over a decade.
As every human being consists of a spirit, the ultimate healing takes place when there is an integration of spirituality and psychology in the treatment process. Being a pastor and a psychologist, my practice is devoted to this type of work. I see each case as a God sent mission as I really care for you. In the past 2 decades of my practice, I have helped innumerous people in N & S America find the most hopeful, meaningful, and purposeful life. Being fluent in four languages and lots of experiences working with people of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, I also do culturally competent treatment as each situation is different.

I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and Christian counseling.
If you struggle with anxiety, are having a difficult time navigating a tough season or transition, have family issues, relationships issues, don't understand yourself or your thoughts, need help processing or anticipating a loss, or are just having a hard time in general, you're not alone. I've been there and by dealing with my own struggles, I've learned a lot about how to help others deal with theirs. I believe that my role as a therapist is to help you navigate your healing journey and walk side by side as you answer the tough questions to gain a better understanding of the world as you know it.

Life can feel like a roller coaster ride, with many ups and downs. When we have healthy coping skills and a strong support system of loved ones to rely on, we can navigate through difficult times and regain a sense of balance. However, sometimes the coping skills or support system that we once relied upon become ineffective or unavailable. Stress triggered by issues such as life transitions, grief, trauma and financial strain can cause us to feel vulnerable and out of control. If you are struggling, rest assured that you are not alone. I am confident that I can help.

We live in a world with a tremendous amount of people who feel alone, unheard, invalidated, tired, depressed, disconnected and anxious. Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us. Many are emerging from very unhealthy relationships with themselves or others and often seek complete rewiring of their relationship patterns. I help create a space where I not only help you feel heard and validated, but also work towards the goal of finding healthy and effective solutions. I look forward to working with you.

I am an eclectic therapist, meaning I do not subscribe to any one therapeutic modality as I believe the therapeutic process is fluid and as a clinician, I must be the same. I help you manage depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment disorder, grief/loss, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, children and adolescents navigating the difficulties of adjusting to parent's divorcing and behavioral issues such as oppositional defiance and conduct issues. In an effort to meet my clients where they are, I will take the time needed to examine, with you, the core issues surrounding the problem and assist in developing solutions from that ground work.

We are experiencing times where our identities, whether, personal, relational, racial, or even sexual are called into question and challenges our very way of being. Whether its work, family, or peer-related our stress can sometimes feel debilitating and we feel like we are on the cusp of giving up. In a world that lacks cultural-sensitivity and the ideal is to be self-reliant and independent, sometimes it’s difficult to acknowledge that we are in fact social beings that need help, especially when we are being impacted mental, physically, and emotionally…three aspects of the human experience that society says we need to be intact to thrive.

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." -Mahatma Gandhi. Stress, anxiety, interpersonal relationships issues, life transitions, low self-esteem and depression can all contribute to disharmony to our lives. I personalize different therapy models to cater to my client's individual needs to support the healing process and improve balance in their lives despite the circumstances.

Is anxiety, depression, or trauma holding you back from being your true self? Do you feel stuck in managing difficult life transitions? Now, every little thing becomes super overwhelming. Those negative experiences reopen old wounds and cause new ones. You tried burying your pain hoping it would go away. You feel lonely and tormented. You feel exhausted, stressed, and angry all the time. You wonder how much more you can take. You are unsure of who or where to turn for help. In the midst of this painful journey, you do not have to go through it alone.

As your therapist, we will work together to address your concerns and formulate a plan of action. I believe in an eclectic, integrative approach in the therapies I employ.

As a long time industry veteran, including years of being surrounded by highly dysfunctional behavior in recording studios, I understand the stress, hours, and pressure that creative people face. Whether its depression, abusive bosses, or creative blocks, we can work on unraveling the problems and getting through them. Similar to the "man behind the curtain" in the Wizard of Oz, there may be subconscious factors that are influencing your feelings, thoughts and decisions on a daily basis. Together we may be able to identify and neutralize any of these hidden or mysterious issues that appear to be holding you back.

Couples tend to be drawn to each other's uniqueness and differences when they first meet. Differences can ignite an initial spark and a sense of excitement in a relationship. Challenges and potential disconnections can arise from the same differences that initially sparked attraction over time. Different communication styles, cultural backgrounds, or approaches to handling stress and conflict can lead to tension.

My interest in Marriage and Family Therapy stems from a desire to fill a gap that was present in my own community. Having had experiences where an unbiased sounding board could have been pivotal in navigating unstable relationships, I set a path that allowed me to be the change I wanted to see. The general philosophy that anchors my practice is “building healthy relationships one story at a time.” This includes the relationship with oneself. There is no one fits all solution to a problem, or one way of getting to a place of feeling well. This in mind I aim to listen, learn, validate, and advocate for what “works” for my clients.
