Whatever you have lived through--healing is possible. I provide therapy for people living outside of the mainstream, whether because of values and ideals or personal identity. Therapy with me doesn't require that you or I believe there is anything wrong with you. Instead it is a place where we work collaboratively and creatively to develop an environment where you can take more and more risks to be yourself. It is a place to keep growing. It is a place to get real about what matters to you and what challenges you. Keywords: radical, queer, therapy for therapists, artists, activists, social justice.

Honestly, if you're searching this list because your days and nights are filled with depression, anxiety and uncertainty, you're probably looking for someone like me: experienced, non-judgemental, empathetic and relatively inexpensive. Life is confusing as Hell, sometimes, and a guide- someone who has been down that road- can come in handy. That's what I do. Let's talk.

Sometimes, when we hear the call of fate, we listen with an inner ear for quiet whispers of the soul. This call arrives in many forms. My consultation practice brings together Jungian analysis with expressive arts therapy. I offer a safe place for you to recognize your unique identity. In our work together, we will follow the varied threads of your story so you can weave and shape your own destiny. My approach uses verbal and non-verbal methods, encouraging spontaneity and the healing influence of the imagination. Are you feeling heartbroken or utterly confused by a romantic relationship? Are you a parent who is endlessly stirred up by your child's behavior? I offer an opportunity to utilize heartbreak in service of growth and to begin to untangle the reality of your current relationships from the residue of your history. I challenge parents to advocate for their own needs while also strongly considering the needs of their children. I teach them how to facilitate the full expression of emotion in children. In light of a great deal of training and personal experience I bring a deep respect for the unknown and a willingness to land in mystery.

Most men will experience some form of impotence in their lifetime, and the likelihood of developing symptoms increases with age and declining health. Erectile dysfunction can be caused by a number of factors such as poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, and clogged arteries due to heart problems, or old age. In normal, healthy men, erections are activated by arousal, which activates pleasure centers in the brain. The brain sends messages down the spinal column, ending in the penile arteries. Pressure/shockwave treatments supports athletic sports injuries that can also contribute to inflammation restricting blood flow in the body.

I believe that the capacity to thrive already lives in your hands, heart, and imagination. As your therapist, I will work with you to uncover your own inherent wisdom. With your wise self in the room, we can explore how parts of you may feel lost, unsure or left out. As your wise self learns to take up more space in your life, you may come to realize that the painful parts of you are just that: a part of you, and that your life is not defined by these parts. I will help you to realize that you are indeed amazing, capable, and loved.

My role as a psychotherapist is to help clients acknowledge and harness their innate strengths, to attain and sustain the well-being they are searching for. I am passionate about gently questioning unspoken norms and expectations, whether learned from family or society, that can limit our ability to connect with our most authentic selves. I empower clients to take supported risks, guiding the therapy with empathy, honesty, humor, and a belief in the transformative power of relationships.

I feel the theraputic experience is a rich and exciting way for someone to reach their full potential. We all have feelings at times that "something is missing". These are real feelings and will be explored through our relationship. I believe everyone is unique. I don't have a "cookie cutter" approach to treating people. We will get to know each other and deal with the issues together. I work from a psychodynamic viewpoint.I feel everything that you have gone through as a child, young adult, and adult is connected. Our job will be to put the puzzle together.

Are you the outsider of your family of origin? You might be the family scapegoat. If so, you've probably experienced some of the following: treated as less-than, blamed, gossiped about, excluded, disowned, and more. And then, if you'd tried to address things, you might have been met with gaslighting, denial, or more blame. Your healthy anger might have been used as further "proof" of your badness, or a narrative that you're mentally ill. And around and around it goes. But there is a way out.

When challenges, pain and loss insist themselves into our lives, we are left with two options. We can work hard to protect ourselves, harden up, soldier through and try our best not to get hurt again. Or we can feel our way through the breaking down, we can get curious, and allow ourselves to soften and move into our broken heartedness. Sometimes it seems as though we have a choice about whether to move forward in our lives. And then there are those times when it's clear we can't continue in the same way.

What would it feel like if you allowed yourself to express your authentic truth, your deepest desires and dreams? Notice your gut reaction to this question. Does it excite or scare you? Perhaps it does both, brings up judgment, or simply sounds impossible to answer right now. Whatever your response, this can be a generative entry point for exploring your relationship with yourself and your impulses, feelings, and dreams. If you tend towards perfectionism, people-pleasing, or taking care of others before yourself, this question might be particularly anxiety-provoking or difficult to answer. I get that, and I'd love to help you!

How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
