I treat individuals, couples and adolescents.
I specialize in couple therapy and work on issues of communication, affairs, intimacy, relationship building and divorce transition. People often believe that they are more independent than they truly are on others, less connected and affected by the people in their lives. However, research shows the opposite.
It also helps to learn about our emotions. Emotions often are automatic especially when anxiety and stress is high. My work looks at affective neuroscience which integrates the scientific research of brain function and emotions that drive behavior, focus and our relationships with others."

As a therapist my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life you enjoy celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to develop coping skills and resolve behavior patterns and negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I have over 10 years of experience helping clients with anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, marital issues, infidelity, career plans, parenting, teen issues, life transitions such as launching into adulthood and redefining relationships in the event of separation or divorce. I look forward to working with you.

If you feel there's more to life, or are held back with anxiety, depression, addiction, divorce, relationship issues or lack of success, I would be honored to guide you to the breakthrough you need.
I love helping people get healthy and successful through coaching, counseling and interventions, and I truly care about my clients. I am well known for getting results, that's why many of my clients include therapists, physicians, CEO's, attorneys, and dentists. I will guide you or your loved one to achieve major breakthroughs in relationships, career, finances, spiritual life, emotional life and health and wellness. And, if you have a loved one affected by addiction or mental health issues, I would be honored to do an intervention to get them into treatment, and provide counseling services to help prevent relapse after treatment.

Change is an inevitable part of life. The lack of change or too much change can overwhelm us and derail our growth. No one escapes hardship and stress. During these times we need the trust, respect, and empathy of an impartial professional especially when family and friends are just too close to the matter. With more than 20 years of clinical practice, I've found that the healthier person reaches out for help beyond their immediate sphere. I see myself as a guide facilitating my patients' healthy risk taking and helping them manifest their visions for a better future.

Therapy can benefit quite a few people, many of whom don’t need to have a mental disorder to reap the benefits. Some people it can benefit include: People with Low Self- Esteem. Being confident can land you the relationship of your dreams, get you that promotion you always wanted and makes you feel good. The problem is that some people don’t have enough self-esteem. Sometimes we are not happy with our appearance, or an event in the past killed our confidence, such as rejection or childhood trauma. Either way, with therapy, you can develop your self-esteem.

'Substance abuse treatment..." the subject of my doctoral dissertation, is the mantra of my personal journey and commitment to help others find the path to a better life. I integrate state of the art brain science with psychotherapy, refining and building upon that which I have personally mastered. I am committed to compassionate client care, and to meet you exactly where you are... whenever you are ready, because, the truth of the matter is, that most people cannot recover on their own.

Welcome! Therapy can be a safe place to explore your fears and worries, and also a place where you can learn new coping strategies, while finding hope and healing. Many of us have wounds from the past and often, new traumas can trigger those wounds to re-emerge. However, living the life you deserve is possible. I believe in the power of the human spirit and that it moves us towards healing. In therapy, you can find your way back to our path or create a new one. I see clients only via teletherapy.

Feeling alone, hurt, and disconnected. Struggling with relationship stress, an eating disorder, or general mental health? We often find ourselves trapped in negative, repetitive patterns of attempting to solve the problem on our own with no success. We desperately desire to be seen and heard and when this fails it can lead to arguments, shutting down, or avoidance. The more we try to break free from this pattern, the more isolated and hurt we feel. We yearn for comfort and healing. Whether this is affecting how you personally cope with challenging problems or hindering your connection with your loved one, there is help.

Divorce Therapists
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.
What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.
When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.
How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
