To be honest, “telling your story” or expressing your thoughts and feelings was not always a great experience, was it? Maybe your words (and pain) seemed to fall on deaf ears or somehow become twisted and misconstrued—sometimes used against you. You spoke, which was good, but you were not heard… and that hurts. So you silenced yourself—“maybe I should keep quiet...nobody understands”. When you encompass trauma, & seek support for it, you may already be feeling vulnerable. It takes qualified therapist that exude empathy & patience. You have already gone through enough. We will create a safe place to unlock the trauma, and teach you to learn to sit with that trauma part. In addition, the past may also have caused you to be more prone to anxiety and even feelings of depression. There is unresolved grief to work on.
