I have 30 years of clinical experience in a multitude of settings, including all phases of patient care, from an initial assessment to developing a course of treatment and altering the course as indicated with input from the patient. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences, pursued a graduate degree, and earned a Masters's Degree in Counseling Psychology at National University, San Diego, CA. My experience is expansive developmentally with regard to age as well as the condition for which the person is seeking care.

My career in the helping professions started in 1997 at a residential program in San Francisco working with adults with substance use issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. This launched a long road of determination to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2008 and then a Master’s in Social Work in 2010. I obtained my Clinical License in 2015. Throughout my educational years and afterward, I worked with many different populations such as children, teens, TAY, former foster youth, homeless youth, adults with mental illness, homeless adults, and those arrested for alcohol and/or drug related offenses.

I enjoy helping children, adolescents, and adults sort through experiences and emotions to improve their lives. I find that individuals possess a great amount of healing power and strength within themselves, that I can bring out by being a partner in hope. I am skilled at working with women struggling with issues emotional issues related to identity and role confusion. I have helped them to obtain a sense of balance and purpose, amidst pressures of family, work stress, and environmental or social pressures including racism, and sexism.
