I provide a personalized approach utilizing CBT and EMDR modalities which are really effective for these kinds of issues.
You appear to be doing well in life to others and yet internally you’re grappling with anxiety, self-doubt, or a persistent feeling of not being good enough. Perhaps trauma or a highly stressful event(s) still haunt you, despite your accomplishments. Your success does not have to come at the cost of your well-being. Imagine feeling more balanced, a sense of peace, being able to embrace your skills and achievements with assurance, recognizing and celebrating your true worth, and moving past trauma to experience emotional freedom, resilience, and genuine joy.

I know that there are times when life can be difficult. My deepest professional desire is to give you hope and to let you know that you are not alone. Give me a chance to help and together we can move through the difficult parts of life, so you can experience growth and healing. I have experienced many grief and losses throughout my life from marriage, divorce, raising children, empty nesting, grand-babies, and sadly walking through the Hospice process while losing both parents to cancer. I can utilize my pains, struggles and triumphs to encourage you that you CAN do this and there is hope when there feels like there is none.

Imagine a world where you like who you truly are at the core. A world where you no longer worry about the judgement of others. This is that door. I invite you to walk though it together. When you're tired of being tired and have tried other options that seem to come back to the same end, this is the beginning of something different. This is the chance to move through your fear of abandonment and rejection, and the chance to begin to lead your authentic life. My intention is to walk with you on the journey of knowing yourself. I strongly believe in open curiosity paired with synergy which is a bedrock to a trust-based relationship.

We all have unique stories that have shaped us. I believe healing is most transformative when we begin to understand the intersections that make us whole: the parts of ourselves that we value and celebrate as well as the parts that we criticize, deny or dislike. I want to know how you feel about your story and how it has impacted your sense of wholeness. My goal is to help you build a better understanding of the pain, distress or fear that holds you back from achieving the life you want so you can begin to make room for more joy and a meaningful existence.

To the outside world it seems as though you have it all together and for some of those things maybe you do, but there is still something missing? There is still a void that you keep trying to fill? You search for love and it just does not turn out how you thought? Maybe you have experienced trauma in your childhood and wonder if that has anything to do with why things are going the way they are now? As you continue through life, you still think about all the losses you have had, the loss of your childhood, the loss of a career, the loss of a loved one and are thinking "Seriously God?!" You just want to feel better & begin healing.

I am also an EMDR trained therapist to effectively navigate trauma issues.
As an Asian-American DACAmented bilingual/bicultural therapist, my heart lies in supporting members of the AAPI community and other ethnic minorities who have experienced marginalization due to their intersection of identities (ie. spirituality, sexuality/LGBTQ, legal status, cultural backgroud). I work with individuals who have experienced religious and relational trauma, attachment wounds, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, dysfunctional relationships, and repressed sexuality, as a result of internalized cultural and societal messages they were exposed to that have further perpetuated an oppressive narrative around who they are.

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.
Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.
What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
