We can work to develop skills that could include EMDR, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and narrative techniques, along with activities focused on mindfulness.
If you’re feeling stuck, or maybe life isn’t going the way you’ve sometimes hoped or expected for you or your family, let’s talk. Together, we will uncover the heart of your difficulties. We’ll also team up to discover the strengths that will help you overcome them. Sometimes depression, anxiety, trauma, or other concerns can make it hard to see those strengths, but they are there! I firmly believe that combining evidence-based methods with your gifts, talents, interests, and beliefs can yield healing and wholeness. You are unique, and the way we will approach your goals will be fit just for you.

I use a holistic approach incorporating talk therapy, CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, expressive therapies and mind-body-spirit connection in my sessions.
Welcome! I’m a therapist with a deep commitment to supporting women on their journey through motherhood and beyond. My specialization lies in helping mothers heal their younger selves—their inner child—so they can parent with authenticity and centeredness, rather than feeling triggered by past experiences. In addition to my work with mothers, I also bring extensive experience in supporting teens who are facing the challenges of anxiety, depression, school-related stress, and peer pressure. I provide a safe space where teens can explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.

With specialization in evidenced-based approaches, EMDR and DBT, I can help you heal from past traumas, manage emotions, and develop coping skills for life's challenges.
We all struggle at times, battling inner conflicts that can drain us. As an attachment-focused therapist, I believe we all long for connections—to others, ourselves, and life. It's natural to experience moments of disconnection, and sometimes, we just need a little help recognizing where it's coming from.

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
