I have professional experience with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, forgiveness, multi-generational family reconciliation, individuals, couples, and families, parenting skills, domestic violence, trauma, and history of abuse.
I believe you're here for a reason, and that God has a purpose for you. Depression, anxiety, marital issues, eating disorders, and many other problems, keep us from living full lives. I became a therapist because I have a passion for helping people who are hurting, and want more out of life. I believe my greatest strength is helping people find the missing keys needed to make positive change. I believe I connect well with my clients by not judging them and by empathizing with their struggles. I am passionate about helping people find the happiness they're looking for.

The subconscious mind controls most of our reality and choices, so building awareness and active presence can improve the quality of daily living and assist in not only surviving but thriving through life. As an intuitive & holistic therapist, I will assist you in strengthening your inner psyche and developing new tools to manage negative feelings and thoughts.

, in order to help my clients alleviate the distress associated with anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, and grief.
Do you have trouble with anxiety, depression, and relationship/family issues due to trauma? Past experiences can create imprints onto your brain that activate your fight/flight responses whenever your emotions feel dysregulated, but life without the constant feeling of being on edge is possible. Those traumatic memories don’t have to permanently influence who you are meant to be. Through therapy, you will gain control of your feelings/thoughts and your response to everyday life hurdles. Healing from trauma can create healthier beliefs about yourself and your relationships along with sustainable changes.

I want to support you in building your self-confidence, recognizing your strengths, and developing healthier coping strategies so you can work through your trauma, grief, anxiety, and life transitions at your own pace.
I think it’s safe to say life is hard. There is so much going on in the world and in our lives that it can be hard to navigate everything that is placed in front of us. We all go through struggles and challenges and it’s okay to seek professional help for them. Growing up as a Chinese American, I recognize the complexities of family and social dynamics and how it can have an immense impact in who we become and how we view ourselves.

Christine Joseph, LMFT I specialize in healing a broken heart and finding love. I work primarily with young adults dealing with family-of-origin conflicts, working through choosing a career path and helping to navigate the beginning and end of romantic relationships. One day during meditation a voice said: Seek therapy! I was unsure what the voice meant so I became a therapist :) It worked out fantastically. I've been a practicing therapist since I was 26yrs old. I still love what I do.

It seems like everyone around you has it figured out - laughing, smiling, experiencing fulfilling relationships, and you're wondering what you are missing. Instead of enjoying life, you find yourself feeling stuck, worried, sad, or even numb. I would love to help you discover and change the things that are holding you back from experiencing the fullness that your life has to offer. Together we will explore your beliefs about yourself and others, the way past hurts or current habits may be holding you back, and how to experience more meaningful relationships.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
