Valerie has directed state-funded mental health programs for both children and adults serving hundreds of individuals. Valerie received her Master's Degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from La Salle University in 2001, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1995.

I am currently a counseling student at Concordia University, Irvine studying Clinical Counseling. I practice under the direct supervision of Dr. Nelson de Ramirez, the fonder of OC Kids Therapy. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University. Taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade as well as high school students. Being a former school teacher has provided me with a wealth of insight into what kids struggle with today. I am passionate about working with kids to help them thrive!

OC Kids Therapy was created out of the need for brief solution focused treatment for children and their families. With counseling and coaching we help children, teens and their families gain the tools to deal with many of the common issues kids experience such as: Anxiety, depression, self harm and lack of motivation. Often, typical "teen" and "child" issues such as acting out, parent child conflict, academic issues and social difficulties can be addressed within as little as 5 sessions.
