As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have spent years studying how individuals learn to cope with life events that have led to a need for therapeutic support. I assist clients develop skills to improve their overall functioning. Specifically, I combine Person Center Therapy, Mindfulness, and other traditional therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of my clients. I have been able to invest in others professionally following becoming an Approved Clinical Supervisor. It has been very rewarding pouring into those seeking licensure.
Depression and anxiety can be the result of unresolved problems and unaddressed personal matters. They also can be a result of unknown fears. The focus of counseling will be on the client, the development of coping skills, and self care routines that will support healing and growth.
Many times I have been asked why I chose counseling. For years, I was unable to answer that questions without hesitation. Today I can confidently say counseling chose me. I am fulfilled professionally knowing my work improves the lives of others.
