In our fast paced society that rarely affords us the opportunity for introspection, I believe that therapy becomes the space in our lives where we can slow down, reflect, and tune into the wisdom residing within our bodies and our hearts. I am committed to co-creating this space where you may understand yourself more lovingly, connect with what you truly want and need, and create lasting change and peace in your life. My work is relational, client-centered, trauma-informed, and transpersonal. I draw from gestalt therapy, parts work, EFT & attachment models as well as mindfulness and somatic based approaches. With a background in Ayurveda, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process, emphasizing the importance of digestion and processing emotional experience.
I'm Byrd & I'm an openly queer, trans and non-binary therapist and Ayurvedic coach. My philosophy is that no human is in need of “fixing” and that mental and emotional health challenges are the result of surviving under systems of violence and oppression.
