I begin therapy utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach. I sincerely believe that when people are hurting, they are not aware of the interplay between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I feel many western therapy counseling approaches are too cognitively oriented and only a fraction of patients benefit from this approach.
