As a licensed psychotherapist I provide individual psychotherapy to adult and adolescent clients. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental and collaborative space where clients can safely explore and process their emotions. My clinical focus has been around treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma and women's issues. Working from a psychodynamic lens, I use self-compassion, mindfulness and inner child work and interventions to aid clients in healing inner wounds, working towards fostering internal self-worth and radical self-acceptance. -I have a few openings for new virtual clients-
I have come to understand that the source of a lot of our pain comes from the toxic shame developed in early childhood that is then reinforced by systems of oppression. I work from a feminist, anti-racist, LGBTQ affirming and health at every size perspective as I am fully aware as to how these systems oppress and impact my clients.
I completely understand the vulnerability it takes to reach out for help, because of this I do my best to create a safe, compassionate space where my clients feel seen. Doing the work can be painful and difficult, but truly looking within and examining our experiences leads to healing. I fully believe that all humans are worthy of healing and happiness.
