No one person is immune to the complexities of the human experience. We all feel pain, joy, loss, connection, & all of the other vast emotions that exist in life. Creating space to explore your personal human experience is worth the time & is something I will view as sacred. I work with ages 18 & up either via telehealth or in-person. Issues of particular interest are adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, grief & loss, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues, & substance abuse. My focus is establishing a safe space for clients to feel seen & heard while using their own expertise & exploring a healthy life based on the individual.
I work with individuals often using Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am insight oriented & implement other theoretical approaches depending on the needs of the client. My education includes Auburn University (2009) & the University of Montevallo (2011). I also provide supervision for Associate Licensed Counselors in Alabama.
In my free time I enjoy yoga, traveling, restaurants, a good mani/pedi, friends, family, pets, & cheering on the Auburn Tigers & both the Birmingham Barons & Bulls.
