Through compassion, humor, and gentle challenge, I work to create a supportive environment to help individuals and families overcome temporary setbacks, heal old wounds, and change dysfunctional patterns. My areas of expertise include anxiety, interpersonal trauma, issues related to parenting, early childhood mental health, and disruptions in early attachment.
In my private practice I work mainly with young children and families. I see children in individual play therapy, and often work with the child and parent together in dyadic therapy sessions. Drawing on psychodynamic and attachment theory, my approach is warm, relational and collaborative.
I work best with people who are fully engaged in the therapy process, and willing to approach our time together with a sense of openness. I encourage anyone who is curious about working with me to schedule a phone consultation to see whether we might be a good fit to work together.
