Psychotherapy is a collaborative process through which one can tap into his or her unique potential for healing, personal growth and wellness. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and individualized. I integrate mindfulness practices, positive psychology and somatic experiencing with cinema, expressive and cognitive behavior therapies to help others overcome obstacles, manage challenges, and make positive changes in themselves and in their lives. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, stress, trauma, panic, and depression. I have more than 20 years' experience in private practice, community agency, and consultation work.
I specialize in integrative, mindfulness-based psychotherapy for anxiety, stress, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, insomnia and depression. My training includes Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, Cinematherapy, and Expressive therapies. I have certifications in Clinical Tele-health, Compassion Fatigue, Family Trauma, EMDR level 1, and Trauma Model Therapy.
I have lectured and published internationally on mindfulness-based psychotherapy, cinematherapy, treatment of anxiety and trauma related disorders, and psychotherapy for individuals with intellectual disabilities. I have also served on a number of committees, boards and special interest groups to help promote mental health and wellness.
