Whether working with individuals or couples, I practice from a person-centered approach which relies heavily on the relationship between the client and counselor. I work with those struggling to cope with anxiety, self-esteem, parenting and relationship issues. Our work together examines patterns of behavior and common thoughts that might contribute to you feeling stuck, anxious or unhappy. Together we will explore the things that are important to you and establish goals to help you get where you hope to be.
In individual therapy we will help you learn to feel confident to face problems, manage overwhelming emotions, find fulfilling relationships and develop coping skills. In couples therapy, we work on communication skills, identify negative patterns of interaction and ultimately increase levels of trust in your relationship.
My professional experience has centered around working with adolescents, adults and couples on social-emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. It’s important you feel safe and heard in therapy. As a therapist, I provide a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment for you to express yourself and help you navigate the challenges life presents.
