When we experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is common to feel like our lives are unravelling. My greatest passion as a black female therapist is bringing understanding and healing to those who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience or struggle with chronic mental/developmental health challenges. I want to be a breath of fresh air for my therapy clients in Texas! My approach is interactive, warm, and accepting. I cultivate a therapeutic environment that makes my clients feel safe, heard, and understood so they can begin their therapeutic journey of finding peace, healing, and new beginnings.

With counseling, I build a therapeutic alliance with my clients & help them develop solutions to their problems. My diverse clientele benefits by establishing boundaries & learning to self-advocate, healing from childhood trauma, and managing depression & anxiety. No single approach is right for every individual, so I am trained in a variety of modalities.

I use a holistic approach delivered in a way that takes the wishes and values of each individual being served into account, while recognizing and adapting to their unique goals and focuses for growth. I normally work with you for about 6 months with CBT - cognitive behavioral therapy - and motivational interviewing. We implement coping skills and strategies to help you reach your goals.
