Hi, I am Britney Meyer, a licensed clinical social worker in both California and Kansas. I am currently based out of the Antelope Valley, California and accepting clients via telehealth. I work with clients who are facing challenging experiences that need support in managing the stress, extreme emotions and thought distortions that arise. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strength-based with an integrative approach, allowing me to provide support based on what my client needs in the moment.
I work with clients who are wanting to navigate the life-transitions they are facing, whether career, family planning, or social pressures. This can include experiences that bring on depressive or anxious episodes, the grieving process or feelings of isolation. I have experience with depression, anxiety, acute-crisis, and infertility.
I try to create a calming environment that feels safe and judgement-free. This allows me to both validate my clients and provide appropriate challenging of thoughts and behaviors. I lean into where my clients are presently while moving, at whatever pace we need in the moment, towards the client's therapeutic goals.
